"Anger" and "Aroma" are almost antonyms | What I was missing when I felt frustrated
"I got angry again..."
Even though I know it in my head,
every day I end up getting emotional and yelling.
For example,
I might raise my voice when I see my family leaving the room messy, or snap when my partner is late and doesn't contact me.
Afterward, I feel self-loathing,
spending my days reflecting, thinking, "It wasn't something to get that angry about."
But people like that
are surprisingly often hard workers, serious, and have a strong sense of responsibility.
Anger is actually a "scream".
"I want you to understand me"
"I want you to help me"
"I have no room left"
These are the voices inside myself.
But often, without realizing that,
I end up taking my anger out on others.
In this article,
"Why do I always get angry?" and "What can I do to reduce my anger?"
I will talk about the answers to those worries and the power of "aroma" to soothe the heart.
I am currently learning about aroma oils and the psychological effects of scents, and I will share with you, along with my own experiences, methods I found that gently work on "anger" and "frustration."

Lavender, sweet orange,
lemongrass, rosewood 🌹
In the past, I sometimes became an "anger-prone person."
Chased by work and daily stress,
every day felt like a battlefield.
One day, when a friend quietly pointed out, "You've been getting so angry lately, haven't you?", my chest tightened.
"What am I doing?"
It was a moment of deep reflection.
In psychology,
anger is called a "secondary emotion."
Deep down, you are sad, anxious, or in pain...
But when you can't express that well,
people let it out in the form of anger.
In my case, the root cause was "not taking care of myself."
I ignored my own feelings,
sought perfection, and pushed myself to the limit.
That's why my heart felt so dry.
That was when I encountered "aroma."
At first,
I was skeptical, but I placed lavender aroma by my pillow, and strangely enough, my breathing became deeper, and I felt so relieved I could almost cry.
It is said that scents reach our instincts directly. These three are especially recommended:
Lavender: Relieves frustration and tension, and balances the autonomic nervous system
Sweet Orange: For a positive mood. A scent that reminds you of a smile
Hinoki (Japanese Cypress): Calmness and a sense of security. It gives you an "it's okay" when you feel like blaming yourself.
Rather than trying hard "not to get angry,"
I found it much easier to be kind by first "embracing my emotions with scent."
Before you blame yourself for getting angry at your family or partner,
why not nourish your heart with a single drop of healing called "aroma
"?
What kind of scent is your heart craving today?
