Self-Introduction and Portfolio
Introduction
Nice to meet you. I am Yukiko Ito, an editor and writer based in Nagoya.
I operate under the trade name "Yunagisha" as a "conveyor of ceramics."
I also create works such as tanka poetry under the name Yuki Nanami.
In this note, I will summarize my past work and the activities I would like to pursue in the future as a self-introduction.
Here is my portfolio summarizing my work to date ↓

My Background
Born in Nagoya in 1990. A Capricorn, blood type AB, with a strange amount of drive.
Majored in Expressive Culture at university.
I have loved writing since I was a child, so I studied linguistic expression.
↓
Started my career as a gallery manager at a Japanese tea specialty store as a new graduate.
Started writing tanka at the suggestion of a customer.
↓
Moved to Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture, and became involved in the opening and operation of a private gallery.
Spent two years working with the owner on planning exhibitions, running a cafe, and managing events.
Everything was trial and error, but I met many interesting people who love culture.
I grew to love ceramics after cooking for myself while living alone and seeing pottery exhibitions at the gallery.
↓
Returned to Nagoya after the gallery closed.
Started working as a writer.
Thinking about my career plan, I changed jobs to become a web planner and public relations officer for a small-to-medium enterprise.
Handled editing, writing, and direction for in-house media.
↓
Started thinking about how I could pursue my vague dream of "working with ceramics," and decided to launch an online shop as a conveyor of ceramics.
↓
Changed jobs to the e-commerce division of a general goods manufacturer.
Managed Rakuten and our own e-commerce site.
↓
Started visiting Seto City, Aichi Prefecture—a town of pottery—to learn about ceramics and production areas.
↓
Present: Based in Nagoya, working on editing, writing, planning, etc.

Travel across Japan to explore folk crafts (Mingei)
Create a ZINE about my folk craft travels / Publish a free paper
Walking through towns and sharing the charm of local areas
The biggest dream I want to pursue right now isrunning a shop for ceramics and handmade crafts. I am planning to start by launching an online shop and creating opportunities for people to actually hold the ceramics in their hands through pop-up events (irregular store openings).
Also, as I have been receiving more opportunities to work as an editor and writer, mainly in Nagoya and Aichi, I would like to further advancereporting that delves into local culture, industry, and history! (Work inquiries are also very welcome!)
What I can do
Writing (interviews, event coverage, column creation, press releases, etc.)
Editing (direction, proofreading, planning and composition)
Event planning and management
I am good at writing, but since I support corporate websites for small and medium-sized enterprises in my practical work, I can also handle banner creation and simple coding, as well as WordPress updates.
For event management, I have been involved in town walking projects, workshops, tanka poetry classes, and talk events.
Things I like
I have summarized various things I like outside of work.
I would be happy if I could become friends with people who like similar things.
Travel (I like looking at old buildings and walking through back alleys)
Traveling for ceramics and folk crafts (Tottori was wonderful)
Going to art museums
Reading (I am a slow reader, but it is fun)
Buying books at bookstores (I like searching for books and spaces filled with many books)
Japanese tea (I want to become a Japanese tea instructor someday)
Coffee (I am currently exploring delicious bean shops)
Sake (I want to find delicious sake while traveling!)
Maps, route maps, and floor plans (I like imagining spaces and places I have never seen)
Modern architecture (signboard architecture, old buildings, factories, ruins, etc.)
Industrial heritage (Gunkanjima was amazing. I also want to visit Ikeshima.)
Penguins (Emperor penguin chicks are my favorite. I bought an annual pass for the Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium.)
I am the type of person who is full of curiosity and drive, and I want to keep expanding my interests, so I would be happy to make friends with people who share similar interests.
I usually hang out on Twitter quite often.
