Children can believe in themselves as many times as they fall
Between "raising a child to avoid failure" and "raising a child who can get back up after failing,"
which is better?
I believe it is overwhelmingly the latter.
I believe it is overwhelmingly the latter.
This is because children who do not experience failure
only know how to succeed.
When they stumble for the first time,
they won't know what to do.
However,
"stumble -> recover emotionally -> try again"
Children who learn this process while they are young
have the strength to overcome any situation in life.
What parents should provide is
not the "correct answer," but "trust & security."
The courage to let go.
The strength to trust and watch over them.
That is how children truly become strong.
