💡 AI is a very convenient tool

Recently, the opportunities to use AI have increased significantly.

Writing text, looking things up, brainstorming ideas...

Things that were unthinkable just a few years ago can now be done in a matter of minutes.

I also make use of AI myself, and I am constantly amazed by its convenience.

It is as if I have a brilliant assistant by my side who I can consult at any time.

⚖️ But AI is not always right

On the other hand, it is a bit dangerous to believe the answers AI provides exactly as they are.

AI derives answers based on a vast amount of information, but it does not know all the circumstances or backgrounds of the world.

Therefore, sometimes important perspectives are left out, or it may reach an unbalanced conclusion.

In fact, I have heard stories of unexpected losses or trouble occurring because people used AI responses without verifying them sufficiently.

AI suggests answers.

However, it is not the AI that takes responsibility for those answers, but us who adopt them.

🤝 Use AI as an "assistant"

I believe that AI is an "assistant," not a "teacher."

Consulting it about things you don't understand, having it organize your writing, or getting new perspectives...

Used in that way, it is a very reassuring presence.

However,

"It's fine because the AI said so."

Instead of that,

"Is this really okay?"

It is important to stop and think about this once.

Ultimately, the responsibility to verify and decide that "this is good" lies with each and every one of us.

📖 What "Bokko-chan" Teaches Us

When I was young, I read Shinichi Hoshi's "Bokko-chan".

It depicts a story where humans meet an unexpected end because they over-relied on something convenient.

Although it was written decades ago, reading it now that AI has become familiar feels very thought-provoking.

Convenient tools themselves are not bad.

How we perceive them and how we use them—

I believe that is where human wisdom is being tested.

🌱 Don't Forget to "Think Carefully"

The more convenient the era becomes, the shorter our thinking time tends to be.

That is precisely why, when you see an AI's answer,

"Is that really so?"

"Is there another perspective?"

"How would I judge this myself?"

I want to cultivate the habit of stopping for a moment and thinking.

There were words of wisdom like this in the Bible as well.

Using AI and trusting it is not a bad thing.

However, do not rely on it too much.

Do not trust it too much.

Perhaps such a "moderate" sense of distance is what is needed in the coming era.

🍀 Today's "Moderation"

AI is a convenient tool that enriches life.

However, it is not AI, but you yourself who holds the steering wheel of your life.

That is precisely why, while using AI's answers as a reference, I do not want to forget to think carefully with my own head in the end.

I feel that thinking carefully is becoming increasingly important precisely because it is the age of AI.

While accepting convenience, I want to cultivate the ability to think and judge for myself. 😊

While writing this article, I thought about the following.

Actually, I was not able to master AI from the beginning either.
