[YouTube Video Released] Bike Stroll: I walked through Takinomiya Park. The scenery I saw because I stopped.
I've filmed the first installment of 'Bike Stroll'.
The 'Bike Stroll Vlog' I announced in my note the other day has been successfully filmed. And today, I've released it on YouTube.
The destination was Takinomiya Park.
Since moving to Niihama, I've come here many times to play with my children. But this time, I went alone. And I walked all the way to the observation deck, which I don't usually visit.

Honestly, I was anxious before filming.
Although I decided to 'get off the bike and walk,' to be honest, I was anxious before filming.
'Will this really be an interesting video?'
'Without the sense of presence from riding a bike, won't it be too plain?'
With those hesitations in mind, I mounted the camera to my bike and headed to Takinomiya Park.

The moment I arrived at the park and got off my bike
The moment I parked my bike and held the camera in my hand.
**"Ah, it's completely different."**
That's what I thought.
Sounds I couldn't hear while riding the bike.
The sound of trees swaying in the wind, the laughter of children from afar, the sound of stepping on fallen leaves.
**There were sounds I could hear because I stopped.**
-----
Looking at the usual playground area from a different perspective
Usually, this is a place where I swing on the swings or play on the slide with my children.
Today, I am passing by it alone.
**"Ah, this is where they always play."**
As I thought that while filming, I felt a strange sensation.
**It felt like "me as a father" and "me as an immigrant YouTuber" were crossing paths in the same place.**
I noticed things I usually don't: an old man sitting on a park bench, an old woman walking her dog, and young people jogging.
**"I never realized so many different people used this park."**
When I'm playing with my children, I never noticed it at all.

The path to the observation deck—I walked it for the first time.
I knew there was an observation deck at Takinomiya Park. But when I'm with my kids, our time always ends in the playground area.
Today, for the first time, I walked the path to the observation deck.
As I climbed the slightly steep slope, I looked up at the autumn-colored trees. Fallen leaves were scattered at my feet, making a "rustling" sound every time I stepped on them.
**"Ah, it really is autumn."**
The changing of the seasons that I hadn't noticed while riding my motorcycle.
-----
Niihama as seen from the observation deck
When I arrived at the observation deck, I could see the entire cityscape of Niihama.
The Seto Inland Sea visible in the distance. The mountains stretching out beyond the residential area. And the autumn leaves of Takinomiya Park spreading out below my eyes.
**The playground equipment where I always play with my kids looked so small.**
**"Ah, so that's where I usually am."**
Looking down from above, I felt a sense that my daily life had become a part of this town.
I've only been living here for a few years since moving. But I am definitely living in this town. I have a place where I belong in this town.
**The view from the observation deck taught me that.**

Things I saw by "walking"
Reflecting on things after finishing the shoot.
**There are things you can only see by "stopping."**
When I was riding my motorcycle, "speed" and "movement" were the main focus. But this time, by walking, "the daily life of this town" became the main focus.
- The smiles of children playing in the park
- The gentle expressions of elderly people resting on benches
- The healthy figures of people jogging
- The sound of stepping on fallen leaves, the sound of the wind, and the chirping of birds
**I think this is the 'true face' of Niihama.**
It's not the flashy scenery of a tourist spot. But it has the 'warmth of daily life' of the people who live here.
**This is exactly what I want to convey to those considering moving here.**

Highlights of the video
In this video, I filmed scenes like these:
- The path to the observation deck (the autumn leaves are beautiful!)
- The view from the observation deck
- The charm of this town that I felt
**It's about a 5-minute video.** Please watch it until the end.

From now on, I will be walking in various places.
I will continue the 'Bike de Sanpo Vlog' series.
I am currently thinking about where to go next.
- Walk through the Niihama shopping district and visit local shops
- Stroll through the autumn leaves at Yamane Park
- Walk along paths where you can feel the history of the Besshi Copper Mine
- Take a walk along the coastal road
**If you have any requests for places you want me to visit, please let me know in the comments or on social media.**
I will walk through the places that people considering moving here want to know about on your behalf.

## Finally—The courage to stop
This change in direction was triggered by a comment from my family.
But looking back, I think having the "courage to stop" was the greatest reward.
In the past, I would run away from troublesome things or responsibilities. But this time, I didn't run.
**I stopped, faced it, and started walking again.**
I want to continue to cherish this attitude from here on out.
