Envious, that person too
was envious of someone else

Envious, what that person
is gazing at is the first star of the evening

Envious, I gaze at that person's
dazzling radiance, but

Envious, I am not even
in that person's field of vision

Envious, with that person
someday
in the same place

What can they see?
What do they feel?
Are they satisfied?
Do they desire more?

I want to know

Envious, just like that person

"I want to be approved"

Soothing the desire

As someone who shares and creates, the desire for approval that we will likely live with is like a puppy that barks too much.

There, there, good dog, you're cute.
Whether it can be soothed
depends on the owner's training.
