A short story that might give you a hint when you feel like you don't have enough time.
Are you familiar with the fable of the 'Woodcutter's Dilemma'?
I learned about it on YouTube this morning. It was a very poignant story, so I would like to share it with you.
First, please take a look at this.
In the forest, a woodcutter was working hard to cut down a tree with a dull axe. When a traveler passing by said, 'If you sharpen the blade, you could cut down many more trees much faster,' the woodcutter replied, 'I'm too busy cutting trees to have time for that.'
I thought that this kind of experience is common, not just in work.
'If I do this now, it will probably be easier later.'
Even though we vaguely understand that, we often put it off because the extra effort feels like a hassle...
You don't need to think about it in such grand terms, like how 'sharpening it properly' requires energy even if it's an inefficient 'axe'.
Actually, isn't it possible to create a second or a minute through small ideas and ingenuity?
What is the 'axe' for you?
Why don't you think about a simple way to sharpen that 'axe'?
'I actually tried it.'
For me, as a noter, my 'axe' is my 'smartphone.' If we define sharpening as 'preparation for efficiency,' then there is a method like 'dictionary registration,' for example.
Come to think of it, I had been copying the 'sitemap URL' that I always paste at the end of my articles every single time.
I wondered if I could register a URL in my dictionary, so I'm going to try it!

And, I did it!! When I type 'saito,' the URL appeared as the second candidate!! ๐ It's... it's so easy...!! ๐ฅน
Sharpening just a little bit
That alone definitely increases comfort. Perhaps, in the future, 'future minutes' will be accumulated without even realizing it. ๐ฅณ
