Get 99 sign-ups by changing just one line! The secret tips for recruitment posts I want to keep to myself
Achieve your ideal lifestyle through the work that only you can do!
I am Yasushi Umezaki, a coach for building your own business, supporting entrepreneurship that generates both fulfillment and income.

Have you ever planned a course and started recruitment, only to find that you aren't getting many sign-ups?
That happens to me, too.
Just the other day, I held an online 20th-anniversary celebration for the "Wind and Soil Nature School" that I run with my family, but when I started recruitment, I stumbled right out of the gate (lol).
I sent out a recruitment announcement via my newsletter, imagining that sign-ups would come flooding in.
But, the sign-ups were just a trickle...
And then, nothing (tears).
My goal was 50 people, but I only actually received 5 sign-ups...
I was in the middle of a study trip to Yakushima and Tanegashima, so I rethought my strategy after I got home.
As a result, I tweaked just one line of the announcement and notified everyone via the newsletter again.

After changing one line and announcing it again...
Suddenly, the sign-ups started coming in.
I received around 10 entries every day, and reached my goal of 50 people in 5 days!
About two weeks after the re-announcement,
I was able to receive entries from 104 people,
which is more than double the goal.
All I did was change one line of the announcement.
What do you think I did?
The answer is,“I changed the title”.
The title when I first started recruiting was,
“Wind and Soil Nature School 20th Anniversary Thanksgiving Festival.”
However, with this, it wasn't clear what we were doing,
who it was for?
or what you would gain by participating?
so even the basics were unclear.
Looking back, it was
a completelyself-centered titlethat forgot the reader's perspective (sweat).
For this Thanksgiving Festival,
I asked graduates of the “Wind and Soil Nature School” continuous courses
to be in charge of online presentations and hands-on workshops
that are useful for a “circulating lifestyle” you create with your own hands.
Since the content was very attractive,
I changed the main title to
“Handmade Circulating Life Online Festival”
so that it would be conveyed.
And, to make it clear “what is good about participating,”
“Packed with tips to increase your home's self-sufficiency rate!”I also added a subtitle.

The people in charge of the presentations and workshops were experts
who are graduates of the Wind and Soil Nature School
and are active in their respective fields.
Even though I didn't touch the body of the announcement,
I ended up receiving applications from over 100 people,
and I truly felt the importance of the title.

Is the lack of applications due to the price?
When you are recruiting but not getting many applications,
don't you ever feel like lowering the price,
thinking, “Maybe the price is too high”?
Actually, even if you change 5,000 yen to 4,000 yen,
it will have almost no effect on sign-ups.

The number one reason you aren't getting sign-ups is that
the people you are targeting
are not seeing the value or appeal of what you are offering.
That is it.
Beyond just the title,
not only how you write your announcement,
but even just revising your regular posts
can make a huge difference in your results.
There are many things you can do
before you start messing with the price.
Please keep in mind that messing with the price
should be the very last resort.
But are you struggling alone, thinking:
“I can't seem to organize what I want to write...”
“It takes me hours to write just one post”
“What should I even write about on my blog or social media?”
Are you struggling with these things on your own?
When I first started my business,
I struggled because even when I wrote blog posts, they didn't lead to sign-ups,
and I made many mistakes.
As I introduced in this article,
even now, if I'm not careful, I forget the reader's perspective
and end up writing self-centered titles,
leading to failure (laughs).
But now, even if I fail,
I know how to revise things to recover,
so I truly feel that learning copywriting
was a great decision.
Actually, there are techniques and rules

by learning and honing these tips,
you will find yourself getting better and better at it.
