Even days when you lack motivation are valuable days of learning.
~The value of 'pausing time' discovered by a lazy coach~
Hello, I'm Keiko Goto, a Life Compass Coach.
Actually, I have plenty of days where I think, 'I don't want to do anything today...'
Especially the day after I've worked too hard, or when there's been a series of changes.
Even as a coach, I have days like that.
Right at the start of the week... lol
But lately, I've come to feel that those days are actually precious time.
🧠 Days when you lack motivation might be proof that your thoughts are active
No motivation.
Don't want to move.
Don't want to do anything.
At first glance, that seems like a negative thing, right?
But actually, on days like that, there's often 'something moving inside'.
● There's something else you're actually concerned about
● Your mind or body is sending a sign that it's tired
● What you're trying to do is misaligned with your values
...It's also a chance to notice those 'overlooked things'.
🔁 Lazy strategy: Include 'pausing time' in your schedule
As a lazy person, I think of it this way.
'It's okay to have days where you can't do anything'
'In fact, that 'pause' might be useful later'
In fact, I've experienced 'zero-motivation periods' many times before.
But the things I thought about and felt during those times are incredibly useful now when I support my clients.
The 'time when I couldn't do anything' turns into 'supporting strength' later on.
That's why pausing is also part of a lazy strategy.
🤝 Making friends with the 'you who can't move'
We live in an era where we tend to think, 'I have to do something.'
But even if you blame yourself for being stuck, you won't move forward.
That's why I want to truly trust myself even on days with zero motivation.
Thinking, 'I guess today, my job is to just savor this time.'
🌱 Summary: It looks like you're slacking off, but you're moving forward just fine.
Working as a coach, I think that
every moment has its own meaning.
Days when you lack motivation, days when you pause, and times when you're lost,
everything is moving along just fine at your own pace.
If only we could fully accept our own laziness and inability to move like that.
Life would surely become much lighter.
Today, I shared the value of such 'pausing' with you ☺️
See you next time with another lazy strategy!
