A Great Time in Okinawa with Kids! Bios Hill Was More Fun Than I Imagined
In my previous posts, I wrote about our overall Okinawa trip with kids and our snorkeling experience at the Blue Cave, but this time I would like to summarize our visit to "Bios Hill"🌺

Heading to Bios Hill in search of land-based experiences🌿
Since we had already planned "sea" experiences like snorkeling and marine activities at the hotel, we went to Bios Hill looking for land-based experiences unique to Okinawa!
We rode the lake sightseeing boat, took a water buffalo cart ride, and played on huge swings we had never seen before...
When we actually went, there were so many more fun experiences than I had imagined!
There were times when the rain got heavy, but there were vehicles with roofs and indoor areas where we could spend time, so we were able to enjoy ourselves without being affected as much as I thought we would😊
I felt it was especially recommended for trips with kids where you want to go to a place where children can play freely without packing too much sightseeing into the schedule!
This time, I will summarize the recommended points I felt during our visit and the children's real reactions!
First, to the lake sightseeing boat!
The lake sightseeing boat, which is included in the admission fee, is a popular activity that almost everyone who visits probably rides!
The guide gave fun explanations about the plants and creatures, and we felt like we were on an "Okinawa jungle expedition"☺️
It's a very calm cruise, so I recommend it for small children too!
Since it has a roof, I think you can enjoy it with peace of mind even on rainy days or days with strong sunlight.
The rain got quite heavy while we were riding, so after we got off, we headed straight to the indoor area!

Indoor play & Ryuso (Okinawan costume) experience while the rain is heavy☂️
There were many traditional wooden toys indoors, and the children played with various toys one after another.
Since it didn't look like the rain would stop, we also did the easy Ryuso experience.
It was easy to do since you just put it on over your clothes, and it was great to be able to take lots of photos.
The children seemed very happy to be able to actually wear the beautiful costumes and large flower hats they saw in the hotel show the day before.
They looked in the mirror and their eyes sparkled as they said "Wow!♡"

The water buffalo cart with a very funny guide🐃
The rain let up a little, so we went to buy tickets for the water buffalo cart.
The water buffalo cart also has a roof, so it was reassuring even if the rain got heavy again.

The guide's stories were very interesting, and I found myself listening intently to what kind of personality this water buffalo has, the relationship with the guide, and how they give instructions.
The children seemed curious about the guide giving instructions to make the water buffalo move, and the moments when the water buffalo would occasionally lick the ground, and they watched with great interest.

Finally, we were suggested to have the water buffalo lick our hands as a way to make friends with it. My second daughter was flustered, saying "Ehh~ haha," but she gathered her courage and held out her hand! My eldest daughter refused. Haha.

Island Goat Walk 🐐
It was drizzling, but since my animal-loving children really wanted to do it, we decided to try the island goat walk.
There were three goats when we went, and we were able to take the leash of our favorite goat and walk it freely.
The water buffalo cart guide told us about each goat's personality, so we chose the two we wanted and started our walk♪ or so we thought...
This was such a funny experience that was completely different from what I imagined, so I'll write about it in detail in a separate article as an extra edition!

Finally, the extra-large swings!
There are several swings hanging from long ropes that you can play on freely.
The children were so excited to see such huge swings they had never seen before!

However, there is a point to note on rainy days!
Be careful, as the soil under the swings will make your shoes muddy!

And various other things
Anyway, there is a lot of nature and many flowers, so it was very beautiful just walking along the paths, and there were also places that looked like photo spots.

Also, although we didn't do it due to time and weather, there were many other things like athletics, canoe experiences, stamp rallies, and indoors, Shisa painting experiences and coloring.
I think it can be tiring to have only new experiences during a trip, so it's great to have a place where you can let them play to their heart's content!
Especially recommended for people like this🌺
・People who like animals
・People who like plants and flowers
・People who want to let their children play to their heart's content in nature
・People who want to have various experiences in one place
Bios Hill is a place where children can play to their heart's content while touching Okinawa-like nature and animals.
Rather than "visiting many tourist spots," it was the perfect place for a "family trip where you want to enjoy experiences slowly"🌺
