[Yuki City] A History Woven, A Cup Lit, Quiet Storehouses
Obaraki! 👘
Pampas grass, moon viewing... news of autumn is arriving one after another. 🍁
Tsumugi and Storehouse Architecture
Yuki Tsumugi
In Yuki City, Yuki Tsumugi has been passed down as the city's craft.
Kimono, geta sandals, hand towels, coasters, and more...
Beautiful hand-woven Tsumugi by local artisans can be seen throughout the city.

Tsumugi-no-Yakata
Also, there are spots where you can experience Tsumugi weaving at workshops, and you can try your hand at a loom. 👘

a historically valuable craft.
A Town of Storehouse Architecture
A townscape of storehouse architecture with excellent fire resistance. 🏯
You can see this style around Makabe (Sakuragawa City) and Shimodate (Chikusei City).
It's amazing because almost all the buildings everywhere are designated as Tangible Cultural Properties! 😳
It's a townscape that would make history buffs drool. 🪭

but it turned out to be a fire station. 🚒
(Such a stylish architectural design...!)

Yuki Hideyasu and Otegine
If you're talking about the history of Yuki, you can't forget Yuki Hideyasu!

Thinking that it was actually swung around
is staggering.
At the Yuki Kurabikan Museum, Touken Ranbu features Otegine, so there are exhibits related to Touken Ranbu.
It seems that the voice actor for Otegine and 2.5D musical actors have actually visited before. Now that the sword boom has settled down, it has become a quiet art museum.

I really struggled to find a place for lunch...🌀
It's important to do thorough research in case of closed days or full reservations.

The miso soup bowl is huge! Lol
I felt so relaxed, just like I was at home lol
The ladies at the shop were so warm, telling me to turn on the TV; the atmosphere was very nice.
Thank you for the meal 😋
Caressed by the scent of the storehouse...

A single thread leads, along the storehouse path
Melting into the autumn sun, the town of Yui

*Since I am a total beginner at haiku and tanka, I am creating them with the help of ChatGPT.
I want to work on being able to create them myself little by little.
