Protocol of Peace: Rewriting the Constitution, Vol. 7: Infrastructure of Distrust
Previous Episode Summary
Haruka Satsuki witnessed the reality of a gruesome society of informants, where parents sold out their children and neighbors trapped neighbors due to the "Mutual Surveillance Code." Realizing that she needed to rewrite the underlying reality of society rather than persuade each individual citizen, she resolved to destroy the base code of militarism and overwrite the entire world with the source code of a new "Peace Constitution." Together with Ryo Shiwasu and Rocco, the three began development for a world reboot deep underground.
Prologue
Even the very person who destroyed the "infrastructure of trust" known as the Peace Constitution and planted distrust and fear cannot escape the shallow algorithm they created. The essence of a military government is a system of mindless violence and self-preservation. The "fake betrayal data" planted by Haruka and her team lures the paranoid dictators into the most hideous logic of self-destruction.
Main Text
“What... what is the meaning of this! I am a loyal subject of the state!”
The old man's roar echoed through the Supreme Operations Conference Room at the heart of the military government.
His name was General Kanzaki. Decades ago, he was the mastermind and creator of the reign of terror, having exploited security holes in the old "Peace Constitution" to add military control exception clauses and transform the country into a militaristic state.
But now, what was being thrust before his eyes was a hologram of a "Top Secret Leak (fabricated) Log" claiming that he himself had been trying to sell military encryption codes to another country.
“No excuses, Kanzaki. A clear signature parity has been detected from your personal terminal.”
A young general, once Kanzaki's subordinate and now eyeing his position, declared this with a sly smile.
This log was "fake betrayal data" created by Ryo, who was hiding underground, and slipped in by Rocco by exploiting gaps in the government's low-resolution censorship servers. While it was something that could be identified as a forgery upon logical scrutiny, the high-ranking government officials, blinded by self-preservation and power lust, had lost the intelligence to verify it. All they had left was the primitive survival instinct to "eliminate political rivals to survive."
“Wait! That's a trap! You fools, have you forgotten how I have governed this country! Fear! Fear is the correct code!”
Kanzaki screamed like a madman, but the "mutual surveillance and immediate detention" algorithm he once loved operated coldly.
“Suspect Kanzaki. All authority is revoked due to violation of the National Security Maintenance Act.”
With a synthetic buzzer, heavily armed military police grabbed Kanzaki by both arms and dragged him to the floor. The old man, who had once framed countless innocent citizens, was now being sold and processed like trash by the very "fabricated system" he had created.
Haruka, watching the footage of their hideous infighting from an underground monitor, muttered with a cold gaze.
“Consumed by the very infrastructure of distrust they created. This is the end for those in power who have abandoned their intelligence.”
Epilogue
With Kanzaki taken into custody, the military government's chain of command had fallen into extreme paranoia and was beginning to malfunction.
"The nodes in the upper echelons of the government are now in complete disarray."
Ryo took his hands off the keyboard and glared at the progress of the "Peace Constitution Code" appearing on the screen.
"But Haruka, we still lack the computational resources to exploit the enemy's confusion and infiltrate the central server. We need to further expand our 'core'."
Haruka stared at Rocco's core, which was quietly continuing its calculations while pushing its own circuits to the limit. The battle of logic to truly overwrite the world was finally approaching its core.

The group rushes to complete the Peace Constitution Code by taking advantage of the government's chaos.
However, to access the nation's root code, they had to overdrive Rocco's old-generation logic core beyond its limits.

—I will answer that question with my entire existence (code).
