No.2 [The 'Brain Organization Technique' of Habitual Questioning] A Thinking Method to Turn Small Daily Questions into Life Tips
In the previous [layover Question Journey time], I talked about the 'margin of time' for facing small daily questions.
So, how can we turn those sudden feelings of 'Why?' or 'Huh?' into life tips?
In this 'No.2 [The Organization Technique I Use When My Head Is Cluttered]' edition, I will introduce the
'Question Habituation Method' for brain organization that I practice daily.
The motto is, 'A question in the right hand, daily life in the left.'
This is a slightly mysterious organization technique that is always at work in my thinking.
I live my life carrying questions every day.
Calling them 'questions' might sound a bit stiff, but simply put, it means taking an interest in doubts and mysterious things. The 'Why?' or 'Huh?' questions that everyone has in their daily life. I recognize that sense of discomfort and
consciously isolate it in a special place in my mind.
This thinking habit is the core of my note's 'Brain Organization Technique'.
In this article, I will share the 'Question Habituation Method,' which is my self-coaching process and can be a hint for improving your own thinking skills.
Thinking Method: 'A question in the right hand, daily life in the left'
This phrase expresses the division of roles in my head. Don't you often hear about 'intuition (right brain)' and 'logic (left brain)'? Inspired by this difference in brain function, I organize my thinking by dividing it into
[Right and Left Rooms]
.
In other words, the room on the right side of the head is a room for intuition and thinking that doesn't rush for answers, and the left room is
a room for logic to gather materials to solve questions.
Are you still feeling a bit confused? Let me explain it more clearly.
The right room is a storage room to 'isolate' intuition and emotions. For example,
A '?' that popped up while waiting for the train in a daze?
A sense of discomfort that suddenly arose from listening to someone's storydiscomfort
A question that no one else noticed during a meetingquestion
I isolate the questions themselves that don't require immediate answers, label them as
'Question', and store them away.
The left room is a database to 'organize' logic and facts.
This room is a place to consciously record and organize 'evidence' and 'facts' to solve the questions in the right hand.
Specifically, I accumulate the following types of objective information.
News encountered in daily life and conversations with others
My action records (logs)
Objective data or analysis results obtained by asking AI, etc., to solve a questionobjective data or analysis results
The moment 'right' and 'left' connect. For example, when an intuitive question in my right hand, such as 'Why is it so hard to wake up in the morning?', connects with logical information in my left hand, such as 'objective analysis of morning or night types, or data obtained by asking AI,' I can finally see a convincing answer for myself.
After intentionally separating 'right' and 'left', by
creating Layover Time, that question unexpectedly connects and
produces new discoveries for me. And this habit of thinking is the core of my note, the
'Brain Organization Technique'.
To be honest, I sometimes wondered if the intuitive questions born in my head were actually useful to anyone, or if I was just talking about myself. However, I came to this conclusion about my questions.
Even if there is no correct answer to my way of thinking, there is value in the act of having a question itself, and I believe there is value in organizing that question in my brain, discovering something new, and turning it into a new question or realization.
The record of my 'journey of questions' might be a hint for 'self-coaching' not just for me, but for you as well.
Come on, why don't you try holding the question that came into your head today in your
right hand?
And why don't you try collecting the daily evidence (data) to solve that question with your
left hand?
Let's find something new together during [layover question journey time]🌻
Please tell me about the small question you held in your right hand in your head today in the comments section, as if you were telling ToiToi. I have a feeling that by layering our questions, a large circle of empathy will surely be born.
And just imagining everyone's seeds of questions makes me incredibly excited😊🌻
