KAOSPILOT & Hyper Island Style: Empathy-Based Capitalism Storytelling to Move People and Organizations - Pop Up Creative Class Online Vol. 6

●Overview
Since 2015, the HYGGE event 'Pop Up Creative Class' has provided a space and opportunity for a wide range of interested individuals to gather various trends and inspiration, featuring guests active in Northern Europe and beyond.

For this 6th installment, we will focus on the theme of empathy-based capitalism storytelling that moves people and organizations.

There is talk in various places about the rise of empathy-based capitalism, replacing the capitalist economy based on monetary value. Many of you may have experienced your own hearts being moved by the emotion of empathy, such as the phenomenon where producers who were screaming due to the decline in consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic posted about food rescue on social media and sold hundreds of sets overnight.
Investors are increasingly using empathy for an entrepreneur's story or corporate mission as a criterion when making investment decisions, and emotions like empathy, which have been neglected in the business world, are now gradually attracting attention.

In this event, we will introduce various examples of stories that generate empathy in people, understand the characteristics seen in those stories, and explore how to create stories based on your own values and beliefs.

Moving large organizations and large projects also starts from the small stories that individuals possess.
Maybe I'll change what I say a little starting tomorrow.
We hope this event will make all participants feel that way.

※What is Hyper Island?
A creative business school founded in 1996 in Karlskrona, Sweden. With the changes brought about by digital technology, traditional perspectives and educational methods reached a turning point, and it became clear that there is not just one answer to things, but multiple possible answers. It was born from the founder's question of how to nurture talent that can keep up with the speed of change. Currently, it has campuses in Singapore, London, and Stockholm, and is a school that fosters next-generation talent with a focus on practice, offering three types of courses: full-time, part-time, and executive training programs for companies.

●What is Pop Up Creative Class?
An event hosted by Laere Inc. It is held with the aim of providing a place and opportunity for a wide range of interested individuals to learn by gathering various trends and inspiration with guests from Japan and abroad, focusing on themes such as creative leadership programs, entrepreneurship, and design thinking.

●What is Laere?
Laere Inc. is a co-creative action design firm that draws out, supports, and realizes projects that start from 'people's thoughts' while incorporating the essence of Nordic society. Through 'powerful experience design that induces actions from various people and organizations,' we encourage people to speak their thoughts, empathize with others, and repeat dialogues, moving beyond individual perspectives to care for society as a whole. We want to nurture and support 'Co-Creative Activists' who use their hands, heads, and hearts to continuously take 'small but certain actions' that make society a little richer. With five core areas: 'LEADERSHIP DESIGN,' 'VISION DESIGN,' 'PROJECT & PROCESS DESIGN,' 'COMMUNITY DESIGN,' and 'PRODUCT & SERVICE DESIGN,' we support many public institutions, companies, and other organizations, including planning and operating workshops and study tours to Denmark and other Nordic countries.https://www.laere.jp/
