Employee Diary: "Bacon Epi"

I am a system consultant, and I have no pen name.

How did everyone spend their Golden Week this year?
I chose to avoid the crowds and fully enjoyed a relaxing holiday at home.

Since I finally had a good chunk of time off, I decided to bake bread for the first time in a while to make full use of my home oven range (BALMUDA), which hadn't been getting much use lately!

This time, I challenged myself to make "Bacon Epi."

You might wonder, "Why Bacon Epi?" but it is actually an excellent bread for beginners or those who are a bit clumsy, as you can make it look professional and cool just by making cuts with scissors.

And above all, the biggest reason is the song "Bacon Epi" by my favorite singer-songwriter, TOMOO!
The time spent standing in the kitchen kneading the dough for Bacon Epi while playing this song in the background has long been my ultimate happiness.
When the savory scent of bacon drifts from the oven, my excitement levels rise even further.

By the way, my BALMUDA at home is a partner I chose entirely for its stylish appearance.
However, it can be a bit of a handful and prone to uneven baking, so it might take a little practice to get the hang of making bread or baked goods with it.

While remembering the beautiful results from the Hitachi oven range at my parents' house, I find it fun to go through trial and error to figure out how to get along with this slightly quirky partner.

It turned out crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, making for a very satisfying time at home!

My motivation for baking bread has been completely reignited, and I'm already wondering what kind of bread to make next.
