Because my thoughts overflowed into your words

I have won the Grand Prix in the #A Future I Never Imagined contest hosted by Mynavi and note.

Even though I had been notified of the results announcement date in advance, when I actually saw the announcement article, I froze and couldn't post on X right away.

At that moment, seeing the many warm and kind words from those who sent me direct congratulatory messages and those who posted on X as if it were their own joy, I felt truly encouraged.

I was so happy and truly grateful for every single 'like' and comment. As the realization slowly sank in, I felt a surge of warmth in my chest and tears welling up in my eyes.

I have always loved reading and writing, but note is the first place where I have made friends through creative work. There is an atmosphere here that feels like spending time with club members from my school days.

Everyone is working on their own creative projects at their own pace while managing their daily lives—work, housework, childcare, and so on—much like meeting up in the club room after class and saying, 'Good work today.' I feel that kind of comfort here.

A few months ago, I took a break from creating on note because I couldn't balance my daily life with my creative work. Even so, when I returned a month later, there were the kind words of my friends welcoming me back, saying, 'Welcome back' and 'We were waiting for you.' I still cannot forget that.

Unlike sports, creative work isn't about competing for times or scores. That is precisely why I get excited every day by moments where we comment on each other's strengths, saying things like, 'This expression is wonderful!' or 'The concept for this story is so innovative!', and seeing how creativity connects from person to person in unexpected ways.

I have something I want to challenge myself with, warm friends who enjoy the same creative pursuits, and an environment where I can put in the effort. I wish I could tell my past self that even now, as I approach 40, I am living such days (a future I never imagined). And the reason I am here today is thanks to the people around me.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who organized and managed this contest.

I was very happy to read in the article about the judging process that the judges had read the candidate works many times. I am also very much looking forward to the supplementary prize.
