I gave a lecture at Subaru Gakuen High School! [Work Introduction]

How much do you know about yourself?

I gave a lecture at
Subaru Gakuen High School in Odai Town!

Originally, I had planned to talk about
things like "how to become an illustrator" or
"what kind of work does an illustrator do?"
but as I met with the teachers,
I learned that many of the students are struggling with life.

So,
I changed my plans on the fly and decided to talk about
"You should just become the person you want to be!"

I gave my talk with the hope that
they would get to know themselves more deeply
and learn to like themselves!

Everyone listened to the talk so seriously,
and I was moved to see them enjoying the workshop activities...!

After the lecture,

"I want to publish a picture book, how can I connect with a publisher?"

"I want to take on a challenge, but what should I do when I feel stuck?"

"Why did you marry your husband?"

"My friend in junior high had APD."

and so on. I was veeeery happy
that so many of them came up to talk to me!

Also, there was one more thing I thought was wonderful.

They said "Good evening" before the lecture started,
and "Thank you very much" after it ended.

The students looked me straight in the eye when they greeted me...!

I truly felt that they were all such good kids,
and that it is a wonderful school!

The only high school in Odai Town,
Subaru Gakuen High School.

I received so much energy from interacting with the students
who are growing up healthy and free in the midst of nature!
