"Because I want to walk" - "Hirayasumi" | 2025: Drama Record vol.22
Take a breath, take a break.
In this modern age, where we feel irritated or uneasy just by living our daily lives, and even when good things happen, we envy others and feel somewhat unfulfilled—this is surely not limited to a competitive society, but something that every living human being carries while living their busy lives.
That is precisely why I thought that time to take a break is so important.
I think it's not just about obvious breaks like taking a vacation, but about slowing down your own speed in the streets that you usually just pass by, sometimes stopping, and just watching the world.
I thought that there must be many small discoveries there, and that they create a little bit of room in our hearts, becoming a way of living that is easier for each person, and turning into "a tomorrow that suits that person." Even so, when things just don't work out, I realized you can just go for it, dash with all your might, and forget about everything that's bothering you.
Hiroto, who is easygoing and only worries about what to make for dinner tonight, and the figures of Nacchan and Yomogi-san, who seem to have found life easier thanks to the room created in their hearts by being influenced by him, seemed to teach me that.
Also, Nana Mori, who played Nacchan, was shining!
The fragility of youth that sways with those around her, the prickly, sharp, and aloof feeling, the invincibility appropriate for her age, and her selfishness were all cute, and it was a role that fit her perfectly, as if it were being performed at maximum output.
It was my first time seeing Nazuna Mitsushima, who played Akari, but she had a wonderful presence, and the scenes between the two were full of best moments. I would love to see her in various works.
Also, the music and narration were laid-back and cute, and I thought the town of Asagaya also played a role in creating the atmosphere of this work. I always rush through Asagaya when I go to the movie theater, so I'd like to go there slowly next time.
Please release "Keep On Rolling" as a recording!!
That was "Hirayasumi"!
Speaking of Amane Okayama, Nana Mori, and Riho Yoshioka, although they didn't co-star, "At the Bench" was also a wonderful work. I feel like I want to watch it at least one more time, and I think it's also interesting that it's a work that can't be watched without streaming like this.
Thank you for reading until the end!
