I, too, will take a break from replying to comments sometimes
I read Hiiro-san's article. I could not agree more.
I am always so happy to receive comments from everyone, and I read them over and over again. Every time I see that light blue speech bubble icon in my notifications, my heart leaps with joy—it's practically the highlight of my day.
Without a doubt, it is because of these comments that I am able to keep writing. However, there are times when replying to those comments is just too difficult for me. I am truly sorry for this contradiction.
“Reply to comments first, before writing an article.”
That was the rule I had set for myself. But before I knew it, I would spend over 30 minutes thinking about a single comment. Panicking that I wouldn't be able to write my articles, I changed my style to write the article first and reply to comments afterward.
Then, however, I would find myself exhausted after finishing the article, and I would put off replying, telling myself I'd do it later. As the next day and the day after passed, the guilt over the comments I hadn't replied to kept piling up in my heart.
I want to reply properly, so why can't I? I would worry and read the comments over and over again, only to fail to reply again, feeling insincere and pathetic. Even so, I just didn't want to stop writing my own articles.
And so, here I am, writing new articles while the comments I couldn't reply to keep piling up in my heart.
I do read the words I receive. I truly am happy to get them. But there are times when I simply cannot send a reply.
I can write articles, but I can't reply to comments. I am clumsy, uncool, and full of contradictions, but I want to keep writing on note every day.
To everyone who has left a comment so far
I am happy enough that you read my articles, but the fact that you put into words what resonated with you—each and every one of those messages supports me. Thanks to the comments you write, I gain new insights every time.
From now on, I will reply to comments within my capacity, without pushing myself too hard. Even if I cannot reply, please know that I always read them, take them to heart, and feel encouraged by them.
Meeting such wonderful people is my treasure. I feel that the comments that connect us are indispensable to me.
I may be clumsy, but I will continue to write as I always have. I hope your days are comfortable and filled with kindness.
Just one last thing...
