Trying to solve problems by becoming 'Words and Advertising'
This question was sent to our membership group, 'Writing Club'.
Lately, as I keep writing, for some reason I feel scared about what will happen in the future. What am I scared of? Being exposed? A lack of self-confidence? I don't know. Writing and publishing feels like walking through town completely naked, and I feel like I'm doing something incredibly embarrassing. How can I get rid of this fear? (Kyo (kyo) san)Kyo (kyo) san)
I see (laughs). The feeling that writing and publishing is like walking through town naked. I get it. Yeah, I think everyone feels embarrassed at first. I think I was embarrassed at first, too. But at some point, I stopped caring about that.
I think that's really because of 〇〇〇〇〇〇〇.
Continuing to write
is what I think it is.
If you were walking around naked, of course it would be embarrassing. Because while everyone else is walking around wearing clothes, you're the only one naked (laughs).
But, you starthearing voices from those around you. Whispers, yes, but also people who will tell you things directly to your face.
You start hearing voices saying things like, 'Oh, your backside is beautiful,' or 'Wow, your waistline is really lovely.'
Don't you think this is something thatyou wouldn't be able to see if you weren't naked? If you hide, no one will look at you, and you won't be evaluated either.
Because you're naked, someone says your backside is beautiful, so you think, 'Maybe I'll try polishing my backside,' and then it becomes even more beautiful. Even the hair you were self-conscious about gets complimented, with people saying, 'The way that hair grows is amazing!'
Even your complexes can lead to empathy.
Are you wondering what on earth I'm talking about? (laughs)
That's what writing and publishing is all about.
Because you show yourself, you get seen, and you get affirmed (though there is some negation, too).
And, little by little, you get better at how you show yourself. At first, you're walking around naked, covering your private parts with both hands, wondering what on earth you're doing, so you're full of anxiety.
When you hear voices complimenting you, you start totrain and polish those parts, gain confidence, and get better at how you present yourself.
And when you look around, you realize, 'Oh? There are actually quite a few naked people, aren't there?' There are people who write.Right now, because you can only see yourself, you might feel like you're the only one feeling embarrassed, but there are actually quite a few.
When you share your worries with people who are actually writing on note like this, you find out everyone has them. I think it's good to empathize with each other's worries like this. I think everyone goes through roughly the same steps.
From there, you might get taught how to not feel embarrassed about being stark naked. You might even learn about posing (lol).
You might even become able to do things like looking like you're stark naked when you're actually wearing something (cleverly making it look like you're naked). That's right. Writing is like searching for answers after all.
If you keep writing, I'm sure you'll find the answer, and you'll also start to understand the sense of pushing the limits. That's what writing is all about.
Summary
・Everyone is embarrassed at first
・Because you show it, people see it and affirm it (though rejection might be scary)
・The knack you learn by stripping down (how to push the limits)
(Continued)
In the end, I think you can only get answers by continuing to write. If you stop because you're scared, you won't be able to see anything from that point on. Because you'll have stopped.
If you have the feeling that you like writing, then keep going. I understand the fear of being identified or rejected (and various other things), but it's okay. By continuing to write, you will definitely gain the confidence to overcome that fear. It's slow, but don't rush.

Yes, that's the end of the role-play. By role-playing as Kotoba to KokokuI felt likemy current worriescould be solved. While interacting in my head, I thought, no, I'll just write it! It's easier to organize that way. So I turned it into an article.
I feel quite refreshed!
These were the things I was worried about ↓
