To the me from a year ago who had nothing

A year ago, I had nothing.

I didn't have an iPad.
I didn't have any followers.
I didn't even know the word 'portfolio'.

But, after a year, you know what?
Something a bit surprising is happening.

To the me from a year ago

I'm going to buy an iPad in October.
Surprised, right?

Even though I wanted one so much,
I just couldn't take the plunge.
For years, I kept thinking, 'Maybe later.'

But it's finally coming.

And what's more—
I'm drawing pictures on the iPad.
Little by little, though.

I'm also making a portfolio.
Did you know about that, me from a year ago?
Apparently, it means 'a collection of your own work'.

Isn't that amazing?

My note is also going strong. Actually,I might be completely immersed in itnow.

A year ago,
I started note thinking I'd study to become a writer, right?
But before I knew it,


I just couldn't help but enjoy the act of writing itself.

That's all thanks to joiningKotobato-san's'Writing Club'. I've met so many friends there, too.

Ever since I met Kotobato-san,
I decided to only do things that are fun,
and then, I started making progress faster and faster.

Followers?
I have over 500 now.
Surprising, isn't it?

A year ago,
when I saw someone with 100 followers,
I thought they were 'someone out of my reach'.

But I reached it, fair and square.
Taking a year to walk at my own pace.

But you know,
precisely because I had nothing,
I think I was able to choose things one by one,
create them myself, and get this far.

I'll keep going, little by little.
On my own two feet.

I'll surprise you again.
