And the Bible tells us that God "lifting up His face" toward us is the source of unshakable peace (Shalom). This prayer is the highest desire for God's people and indicates the goal toward which every journey of faith is aimed.
Those who seek His face (Old Testament)
The desire embedded in Aaron's blessing echoes repeatedly among the saints of the Old Testament. David, in particular, knew that seeking the face of God was the most important thing in life.
My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, Lord, I will seek.

Also, Moses had a special relationship where he spoke with God "face to face" (Deuteronomy 34:10), yet even he was not permitted to see the holy glory of God fully and directly as a sinful human (Exodus 33:20). The face lost through sin
In the first place, why must people seek the face of God? It is because, as Genesis chapter 3 shows, the intimate relationship with God was broken by sin, and people began to hide from the face (presence) of God (Genesis 3:8).
