Outing with my second daughter: 'Chogakusei Collaboration Cafe' edition
Today, we took the first train of the day and spent five hours traveling to Sweets Paradise in Omiya.
A collaboration cafe for my second daughter's favorite artist, Chogakusei, is being held there.
I hadn't ridden the Joetsu Line since last September when I went to Ikebukuro with my eldest daughter, but as always, it takes a very long time to get out of Niigata, and my second daughter, who woke up early, slept the whole way from Nagaoka to Minakami to Takasaki.
From Takasaki, we transferred to the Shonan-Shinjuku Line for a comfortable trip in the Green Car.
It takes time, but the scenery changes, and I really enjoyed the train journey.
Right after leaving Omiya Station, we spotted the Marui department store, but we got a little lost inside and arrived at Sweets Paradise about 10 minutes before our reservation.
We found a life-sized cutout a little ways away from the shop entrance.

The menu looked like this.

Chogakusei's music videos were playing in the shop, and my second daughter was in a great mood the whole time.
Before long, our main dishes were brought to us.

My second daughter took the photos.
We had omurice, ramen, a cafe latte, a yogurt drink, and a parfait.
I asked if she could really eat all that including the parfait, but she said it was no problem!

Everything we ate was delicious.
The portions weren't that big, so my second daughter and I split the ramen and omurice.
We were so full that we almost left without buying any merchandise.
My second daughter remembered, so I told her to go ahead and pick out what she liked, and she brought back one of everything.

I opened the merchandise after I got home.
Since it was time, we left Sweets Paradise and walked around the Omiya station area.
I had a fun time with my second daughter until the train ride home, buying souvenirs and such.
It was a trip where the travel time was longer than the time spent there, but it was a lot of fun.
Sweets Paradise offered all-you-can-eat options in addition to the collaboration menu, but I got full just from the collaboration menu, so I thought I'd like to go again when there isn't a collaboration.
It seems my second daughter was able to fully enjoy her first collaboration cafe.
My husband says he is going to Tokyo tomorrow using the same route and the same ticket.
Well then, that's all for today.
Thank you for always reading.
