Running Around at Sixty❣️
Almost finished conquering the roadside stations in central Hokkaido!
First, we went through Kitahiroshima, Naganuma, Chitose, and Abira to Mukawa.🚗💨
It's pretty far lol
We didn't stop at the roadside station, but bought dinosaur-shaped cakes,
and my daughter bought bread at the direct sales shop lol
We got on the Hidaka Expressway and headed to Niikappu.
If you drive at the 70km/h speed limit, you get tailgated.
But since it's a single lane, you'll just have to wait until the passing lane🖐️
Thoroughbred Road Niikappu

Vegetables, bento boxes, bread, cakes...
It's actually quite fun😀

There was a 'Record Hall' next door.
There was no roof over the accessible parking space.
I bought the green pepper miso, but I forgot it on the counter when I stamped my book, and I didn't remember until we reached the next stop, Mitsuishi.
My daughter called Niikappu for me, but
it seems someone took it😵
Please enjoy eating it.
Let me know what you think❣️
I was so frustrated that I went back to buy it again lol. What a waste of time⏰
Mitsuishi

What's with the people cleaning bugs off their cars in the parking lot!?
It makes me feel uneasy seeing elderly people getting cornered and paying money because they can't say no.
No one ever approaches me.
I bought some 'yokan' (sweet bean jelly) here as a souvenir for the old man.

Next, we head to Jukai Road Hidaka.
It's a long way from the edge of Shinhidaka Town, through Biratori, to the foot of Nissho Pass🚗💨
It was my first time driving through Biratori, but it's huge.

The Hidaka Mountains are tough⤵️

There is a roof over the accessible parking space (for one vehicle).
It seems like fewer cars use Nissho Pass now that the expressway is open, so it was deserted.
The atmosphere inside the roadside station had changed quite a bit too😄
With the anti-smoking boom, the global cigarette selection was gone too.
I'm the type who thinks you shouldn't interfere with other people's personal preferences🧐
As long as they follow the rules, it should be fine to smoke.
I actually dislike the bad manners of drunks more😾
If you're going to get drunk, I wish you wouldn't drink.
I seriously think that.
If you're going to smoke, do it in the designated smoking area❣️
Smoking < Drunkards
Next is the nearby Nature Experience Shimukappu

There's an expressway interchange,
a JR station,
but no roof over the accessible parking space‼️
My daughter kept complaining about how cold it was,
so I made her buy a cheap T-shirt and put it on lol
It was cold yesterday, so I couldn't take off my denim jacket.
Since the dog is in the car, the windows are almost always wide open lol
Since it was past 4 PM,
I was debating whether to head back to Sapporo or keep going
(Normally, you'd just go home)
I thought about it for a bit and put a nearby roadside station into the navigation.
It's about 50km away.
Next is... Minamifurano❣️

The restroom building had been renovated and was nice.
It might have been about 10 years ago that I last took a bus from Asahikawa to Obihiro.
The bus ride was fun!🚌
Got the stamp, so time to head home!
The gas gauge is down to two bars😅
There are no gas stations around the Minamifurano roadside station😱
I thought there would be some if I went into the town area,
but there weren't!😱😱😱
(I can't cross mountain passes when my gas gets low)
I ended up in Nakafurano looking for a gas station lol
I put in just 10 liters and headed toward Lake Katsurazawa.
I wanted to get on the expressway from Mikasa.
There was an annoying car tailgating me that was in the way.
Just pass me already!😤
I left before 9:00 AM and arrived home at 7:30 PM.
I'm not tired, but my butt hurts!😫
Next, should I go to Tokachi or Wakkanai?🚗💨
That was a sixty-year-old lady driving 500km every weekend.😄
I'm glad I didn't get targeted by a speed trap❤️
I need to go get some gas.👛
