The Story Behind the Logo of "Shiroshi," a Partner for Colorful Creators

Creating the "one more work" that was meant to be born

This is Yamada from Ciroci inc. Long time no see, everyone.

How do you read "Ciroci"?
What does it mean?
Why did you choose this name?
Anyway, what do you actually do?
What is your value?
Are you doing things properly? ...etc

Thank you so much for having such questions—or rather, interest (?)! I'm happy! (Assertion and modification of meaning)

I searched for a way to answer everyone's interest concisely. In doing so, I had to admit that words are powerless, at least this time.

The meaning of the logo

So, I decided to create a logo 😳

This is what we finally decided on!

Is Ciroci Japanese or a foreign language?
Where was it born, and what does it mean?

By keeping that sense of "not knowing" and "mystery" as it is, and having the English "ciroci" and the hiragana "shiroshi" coexist, it has become a logo that does not conflict with any color.

After establishing Ciroci inc. and interacting with more creators and artists, I have come to feel their colorfulness even more. It also carries the meaning of "Shiroshi" (to whiten/to serve as a canvas), to make that colorfulness stand out even more.

How is it? It's cool, right? (Inner voice)

Logo development

As per the concept, the logo is not bound by a fixed shape, so it is designed to be used in all orientations: vertical, horizontal, and diagonal.

Therefore, we will be using it in ways like this.

Also, "Ciroci" is still a blank slate.
In manga terms, it is a pure white manuscript.
Perhaps the panel layouts are just starting to emerge.

(It's become Ciroci inc.!!??)

We will fill this blank manuscript together with colorful creators, one "work" at a time, and that process itself will become a "work of art."

Wouldn't it be wonderful if it turned out that way? (Second inner voice)

Some of you may have already vaguely realized this, but I, Yamada, could never have created such a cool design.

The Ciroci inc. logo and its subsequent developments were handled by our design partner, Grand Slam Inc.

If you take a look at this website, I think you'll understand—just looking at it is so exciting! It's amazing!

For this logo and other assets, I went on and on, shouting things like, "Shiroshi is this kind of company! We're aiming for this kind of world! We value this! That part is definitely not a lie!!!" They took all those feelings and fully embraced them, elevating them into a design that I don't think I could have come up with even if I lived seven lifetimes. I really love it...

As a company that supports creators, I don't want to stop respecting creativity and continuing to challenge ourselves creatively, so please look forward to Shiroshi's own creative endeavors in the future.

Everything for "One More Work"

To put it simply, Shiroshi's business is:

a back-office partner business
specializing in independent creators

.

That is not wrong, and I can feel firsthand that it is incredibly necessary in this day and age.

However, I also realized that there is a gap between what I envision and what the public perceives when they hear the term "back-office operations."

Please, just imagine for a moment.

📚 A manga that might have been completed if not for that one trouble.

♫ Music that could have been heard if the system had been in place.

🌏 An artist whose life could have been saved if someone had been by their side.

We might be losing "one more work" that should have been born every single day.

The "back-office" I speak of includes creating that "one more work" together with these kinds of people.

I think I haven't been able to convey that fully yet.
I hope to create that in every form I can, not just through text, but through expressions like this logo, and through the artists who will partner with us, which we will announce in the future.
