The Story of My Dogs 'Kuma' and 'Koguma' ①
The other day, I received a question in my question box.
Regarding my note icon,
Is it a dog? Or a bear?
(≧∇≦) lol!
Yes!
This is a dog (*´꒳`*) lol
The name of the dog I used to have was 'Kuma', and
when I was selling handmade items,
on STORES
'Handmade Shop Kuma'
I was selling under that shop name, so
I used that name!
The reason I chose note out of the many blogs available
was also because I wanted to be able to link it with STORES, but
in the end, I'm not using STORES now,
and the blog is independent.
So, why is it 'kuma' even though it's a dog?
When my son was about 5 years old, he didn't have any siblings, so
I thought, 'If we get a dog, maybe it will be like a sibling to him?'
and decided to get a dog.
The dog I had in my childhood was like a mother figure to me,
and I was saved by that dog many times,
so I wanted a dog for my son too...
and chose a dog.
I had a little bit of resistance to
'paying money to buy'
a living creature,
(I hate that lives are bought and sold for money),
but we decided to at least go to a pet shop,
so we went to the pet shop.
Before going to the store,
suddenly,
as a bit of a joke,
I thought, 'I want to get a dog named 'Kuma' (≧∇≦)'
and went to the store.
And then, to my surprise!
There was a cute, cute puppy with a face that perfectly matched that name and a nerve of steel to match (≧∇≦)!! lol
It was a Mame Shiba with black fur mixed in here and there,
and when we entered the store,
while the dogs around us were barking and crying
Only Kuma stayed curled up, ignoring me. Lol
And the moment our eyes met,
looking super annoyed
he barked once,
"Woof," and then ignored me again. Hahaha
That attitude was so cute that
I fell in love at first sight
Even though I used to think, "Buying a life with money is..."
I bought him immediately... (≧∇≦) Lol!
And so, one more family member was added,
and my life with Kuma began.
I thought it would be nice if he could be a companion for my son, but
the son in question
showed absolutely no interest in animals,
and in the end, he just became my comfort dog... ^_^;
It's fine for me to be comforted, but
before I knew it, for about 8 years, Kuma was all alone during the day.
I'm always away at work, and
my son is also almost never home due to school and club activities.
Suddenly, I felt so sorry for him that
"I'll get Kuma a sibling!"
And right at that moment
"Does anyone want to take a dog? (´Д` )?"
Once again, a savior!!
It was her,
the one who said yesterday,
"We'll take a look at the plumbing for you!"
She always appears at just the right time...
Could she be a god...? Lol
So, I went to see the puppies born at her house, and
with his floppy ears and indescribable cuteness,
I fell in love at first sight again and took him in.
That is
"Koguma," who is at home now.
Why "Koguma"?
Because he's Kuma's little brother! Lol
Since he was a puppy, he had big paws,
so I predicted, "He's definitely going to be a large dog..."
I named him Koguma (Little Bear), even though
I knew he would grow up to be far larger than Kuma.
I knew it, but
I just really wanted to name him "Koguma"!! Haha
And then,
just as I expected—no, far exceeding my expectations—
he grew up in the blink of an eye
and is now a 24kg large dog. ٩(^‿^)۶
As Kuma's little brother,
I wanted them to get along well as brothers,
so even though I anticipated he would get that big,
I kept him as an indoor dog.
Everyone who comes to our house for the first time
is surprised by his size! Haha
"Hey, this dog is definitely not the size of a dog you keep inside the house, right?"
Everyone says that, but
I just
♪( ´θ｀)ノ
use my special move: ignoring them!!!
(A trick Kuma taught me ♡)
I've already gotten used to keeping him inside the house,
so I can't just banish him outside now...
It's fine, I'm the one taking care of him ♬
People I meet while out for a walk
always ask me,
"Wait, which one is Koguma again??"
Haha.
"The bigger one is Koguma!"
And so,
with Kuma and Koguma both in our home,
our new life as a family has begun (*´꒳`*)
I'm tired today, so
