The journey to find a clear case has finally come to an end. I've found my ideal case!

I couldn't find a good clear case, so I started a journey to find my ideal one last November. Over the course of about three months, I realized I had written four articles about clear cases, haha. But now, I have finally found my ideal clear case!

With this, my journey to find a clear case is over!

The criteria I was looking for in a clear case

The case I purchased this time

This is exactly the case I was looking for! It is made entirely of hard material and is MagSafe compatible. Furthermore, it is thin, so the appeal is that it feels very close to holding the iPhone naked. I especially recommend it to those using the iPhone Air.

It also has a smooth texture, giving it a sense of luxury I haven't felt with previous clear cases. The level of perfection is high, and it is on par with the official Apple case.

Even though it is a clear case, I also love that it has a slight blue tint!

However, it does not have a strap hole.

I made the strap hole myself

First of all, as a basic premise, a strap is absolutely essential for me because I have small hands. However, no matter how much I searched, I couldn't find a case that met all the other conditions while also having a strap hole.

So, I first experimented with a 100-yen shop case to see if I could drill a hole and if there would be any durability issues. Based on those results, I reached this decision.

How to make a strap hole

First, the process is super easy. All the materials can be found at a 100-yen shop.

In my case, I made a rough sketch like this and masked the surrounding area with tape before starting the work.

The work itself was very simple and took 5 minutes.

This is what the finished product looks like.

It was slightly off, but I was able to thread the strap through without any issues.

As for durability

As far as I've been using it, there are no issues with durability, but since this is just my personal method, please proceed at your own risk if you decide to try it.

Finally

There were a few ups and downs, but above all, I'm really glad I found my ideal clear case. It fits better than any I've had before. If you're on a journey to find a clear case like I was, please use this as a reference!
