Because there is something precious you 'want to protect,' anxiety takes root
People who have anxieties and worries might actually be happy people.
I woke up from a dream this morning.
Lying in bed, looking at the curtains, I was thinking vaguely.
The sound of rain can be heard from outside the window.
It was a holiday morning.
Lately, I sometimes think about this.
What is anxiety?
What are worries?
That weight that spreads in my head every time I wake up each morning.
"Will I be able to do well again today?"
"I wonder what that person is thinking."
"Am I okay just the way I am?"
It doesn't disappear.
It doesn't go away.
In fact, I feel like it increases the more I try to live my life to the fullest.
I don't think I'm the only one who feels that way.
Surely, I'm not the only one.
I used to envy people who didn't have worries.
I wanted to become someone who didn't feel anxiety.
Every time I saw someone spending their days lightly with a face that showed nothing was wrong,
"Ah, I'm still not enough," I thought.
But this morning, I realized something while in bed.
Wait a minute, I thought.
Is that really the case?
From here on is the paid section.
This question of "What do anxiety and worries actually mean?"
The answer was in an unexpected place.
If you are currently anxious and worried.
It might have a completely different meaning than what you think.
When you finish reading, I would be happy if the air today looked just a little bit different.
Just as there is up and down.
Just as there is left and right.
Just as there is a North pole if there is a South pole.
This world is always paired somewhere.
Then, what is the pair to anxiety and worries?
I thought about it while lying in bed with my eyes closed.
I think it's things you want to protect.
Things you want to cherish.
Things you don't want to lose.
Anxiety is born because you worry about something.
Worries are born because you are unsure of what to do.
If nothing was precious, people wouldn't worry.
If you didn't care what happened, you wouldn't feel anxiety.
Which means.
You, who are currently anxious, worried, and feeling crushed.
Doesn't that just mean you have that many precious things?
You worry about work because you are serious about it.
You care about your family because you love them.
You are anxious about the future because you are properly thinking about what lies ahead.
You care about what others think of you because you value your connections with people.
For every bit of anxiety, there is something precious.
For every worry, there is something you want to protect.
When I thought about it that way, I felt a strange sensation.
I had longed for people without anxiety or worries, but.
Perhaps that just means they have fewer precious things or things they want to protect.
It's not a matter of which is better or worse.
It's just that I chose a life with many things I want to protect.
Right now, the map in my heart is just a little bit off.
Events themselves have no good or evil.
Plus and minus might actually be things created by your own heart.
So, maybe you don't have to try to get rid of anxiety and worries.
If you try to get rid of them, it becomes painful.
Because they won't go away, you get depressed again.
Instead, live with them skillfully.
With the feeling of letting them sit next to you.
With a sense of distance like, "Oh, you're here again."
Even while carrying anxiety and worries, you can spend time happily.
You can create time to laugh with the people you care about.
There are definitely moments when you eat something delicious and think, "Ah, I'm happy."
It was raining this morning.
At first, I thought, "Oh, it's raining."
But while listening to the sound of the rain outside the window, I felt somewhat calm.
Rain is rain.
It's just falling.
Thinking of it as "unpleasant" or "I like it" was all decided by my heart.
If you are suffering from anxiety and worries right now.
It is surely because you have something you want to protect.
Because you have something you want to cherish.
Because you are living such a life.
When your mindset changes just a little bit.
There is surely no one happier than you.
Together, while living with anxiety and worries.
Let's slowly aim for days surrounded by the things that are precious to us.
Thank you for reading today as well.
Now, what will you do today?
Taking action yourself might be the most important thing.
