Great job in June! A "personal reflection" to start July feeling refreshed 🌸
June is coming to an end today.
To all the store managers, you have truly done a great job.☺️
I'm sure some of you reached your goals, while others may have had disappointing results.
But first, please take a moment to reward yourself for running this race.
The end of the month is truly hectic for store managers, isn't it?
Sales figures.
Inventory.
Staff matters.
Planning for next month.
There is so much to think about every single day.
And when the end of the month arrives,
aren't many of you writing sales reports or monthly reports to submit to the company?Don't you find yourself thinking things like:
I have to submit this by such-and-such date.
Since my superiors will see this, maybe I should phrase it this way.
It affects my evaluation, so I'll keep the tone positive.
……Does that sound familiar? 🤣
I know I was like that. Haha.
Of course, that is important in its own way.
Conveying the store's situation clearly to the company.
Promoting your own achievements and those of your store.
I believe this is also an important part of a store manager's job.
But apart from that, what is also necessary is,
a "personal reflection" to have a dialogue with yourself and your store.
Only you will see it.
That is precisely why you shouldtry writing it 100% honestly.
1. Things that went well
・There were days when sales were good
・Staff members grew
・I received kind words from customers
・The atmosphere on the sales floor improved
And then,
"Why did it go well?"
Try digging deep into that.
Once you understand the reason, it becomes a strength you can continue to use next month.
2. Things that didn't go well
Didn't reach the goal.
Training didn't progress as expected.
Struggled with communication with staff.
I'm sure those things happen too.
But because it's a personal reflection, try writing it honestly.
And then,
"What can I change to make it go better?"
Try thinking about that.
It's not a failure, but material to use for next time.
3. Is there anything concerning about your staff?
Is there any staff member who hasn't seemed like themselves lately?
Is there a new staff member who seems anxious?
If there is even the slightest concern, clarify the source of the anxiety, andplanning a meeting at the beginning of the monthis also recommended.
For new staff, a meeting to confirm what they are doing well is also good.
Even just taking a little time at the start of the month can change your relationship with your staff.
4. Let's decide on your own personal goals for July
Sales goals are, of course, important.
But I also recommend having personal goals beyond that.
For example,
・Continue doing what went well
・Try changing this part a little next time
・Communicate more with so-and-so than before
・Express gratitude to staff every day
・Greet everyone with a smile
Anything is fine ☺️
Having your own small goals can also lead to daily motivation.
June, you really did a great job ✨
You opened the store every day, closed it safely, welcomed customers, and ran the race together with your staff.
That alone is enough to say you worked hard.
It's okay not to be perfect in July, too.
Why not take a moment to pause and reflect on yourself and your store? 🌸
Thank you for reading until the end today, too 😊
I would be happy if this could be a place where hardworking store managers can find a few hints or feel a sense of relief. ☕️🌿
