[Legend of Lineage / Spin-off] Idea Collection (Fan Fiction Guidelines)

Hello everyone.

Legend of Lineage concluded safely the other day. I've put quite a bit of effort into building the world. Because of that, I felt like there was still plenty of room to play in this world.

So, here is a memo of ideas.

If you like them, please feel free to try them out based on the guidelines below!

Furthermore, the following is a collection of spin-off and side-story ideas that I (the author) have been thinking about.

These are not confirmed as official settings. You are welcome to use them as a reference for your fan fiction, or you may come up with completely different stories.

1. The Era of the Heroes of Light

Overview

The true story of the "Heroes of Light" who sealed away the darkness 300 years ago.

Since it is only told as "lore" in the main story, it seems like it could easily be a new story. Dragon Quest III, or maybe 11?

Points of Concern

I feel like if I depict it too much, the "mythological feel" might disappear. But, since they do it in Dragon Quest, I guess it's probably fine?

2. Elise's Parents

Overview

The past that influenced Elise's personality and magical aptitude.

A sense of digging into the source of Elise's own 'otherness.' You can set anything, such as what her parents protected. If the setting is that they were doing some kind of magical research, then include episodes for that.

3. Sieg's Father

Overview

The figure who shaped Sieg's values, survival skills, and philosophy.

4. Silva's Aftermath

Overview

What Silva carried and where he headed after the main story.

Since I gave the main story a rather mysterious feel, there is a lot left unportrayed. I think it's possible to create various episodes. Especially the story about the younger brother is kept vague, so it's suitable for a spin-off.

5. Will's Journey of Atonement

Overview

The journey of Will, who carries the burden of a fallen nation, loss, and sin, until he reaches Solas.

The circumstances leading up to him becoming a legend in Solas. Helping people in trouble wherever he goes, or perhaps him being a strong old man who can use magic normally and fights.

6. Bartolo Family (or Tales of Valor)

Overview

Depicting the underworld conflicts and human drama organized by Bartolo. Or, a record of the battlefields that the battle-hardened hero Bartolo has walked through.

• Behind the Scenes of Baltro's Notebook

Since he is already a 'fully realized man' in the main story, these are stories from the past or present from Baltro's perspective. Stories about family feuds, various tales of valor, or perhaps tales of failure. Since he was set to have a wife and children, dramas about parting ways with them, etc.

Also, the 'behind the scenes' of 'Baltro's Notebook' might be interesting. The idea that behind each (seemingly trivial) episode, there were deeper reasons and meanings. For example, in the part where he saves a merchant to get a massage chair, there was a request from a minister's daughter in a certain country, and this happened, and that happened, and it connected like this to lead to that conclusion, and so on.

7. What Happened to the Three of Them Afterwards

Overview

How Artorius, Elise, and Sieg lived after their journey ended.

I intentionally left this vague, so it's a part where people would naturally wonder, 'What happened?!'... right? You could address that directly. It might even be good to turn it into a new adventure.

Overview

The distant future of the legendary 'Legend of Lineage'.

The original protagonist has become a "mythical being." This is simply the story of "Legend of Lineage 2."

9. Clay's Life

Overview

What Clay saw and how he lived. The only "Sound Core" user in the world.

Utilizing the setting of being a messenger of the light spirit Luminaris to connect to the depths of the world. A story that unravels what the "Sound Core" and the "Resonance Orb" truly are.

10. Nations and Civilizations of the Past and Future

Overview

Stories set in regions, continents, and cultural spheres within the same world.

Not just a sequel, but a different story with a different protagonist within the same world.

11. Unknown Lineage

Overview

Successors, branch families, and heretical bloodlines not mentioned in the main story.

Depending on the setting, you can do anything; in a sense, it's a magical tool. It feels like you can infinitely multiply stories. Maybe it just feels that way. Well, just make sure it fits well with the main story.

12. Zeke's Con Artist Days

Overview

How Zeke survived before meeting his companions.

This could make for a light and easy-to-read side story. A chronicle of the process of becoming a swindler, or perhaps their heroic exploits after becoming one. Would it be better for likability if they were in the position of a righteous thief?

13. Silva's Past

Overview

What she abandoned, what she lost, and what she has witnessed.

14. The World from the Perspective of an Ordinary Person

Overview

The world of "Legend of Lineage" as seen by those who are not heroes.

Focus on the reality of the world. Like taking on requests at a typical guild. Monsters are rampant, so there must have been people who normally protected the town. Or, by tying it into the story, a tale about a soldier who survived in Ashbury.

15. Ideology of the Luminaris Shadow side

Overview

The truth behind the side that holds the ideology that "nothingness is perfection."

It doesn't become simple evil, and it deepens the worldview, I suppose. How have they been trying to return the world to nothingness?

16. True History

Overview

The "true history" hidden in scriptures, myths, and legends.
