Since I switched my dental 'amulet,' I've been grinning every night
I switched from my post-orthodontic retainer to a night guard.
It's become much more comfortable now that the wire-like parts no longer poke the mucous membranes in my mouth.
The reason I'm grinning while I sleep every night isn't just my mood. Well, maybe a little bit.
When the night guard (mouthpiece) rests slightly on my lower front teeth and the back of my lower lip, my mouth gets stretched just a little to the sides.
To exaggerate, it looks like a frog's 🐸 mouth.
That's why I'm grinning as I fall asleep.
After taking off the night guard, my upper front teeth no longer feel achy.
Just that alone makes me think, 'Ah, I'm glad I switched.'
I've been with that retainer for three years.
I decided to gently tuck it away in a drawer.
It's a passing of the baton for my dental 'amulet'.

I struggled with this eye-catching image.
Since it's being published on a Monday, I chose something brighter, but I like this one too.
