[VketReal/VR Sign Language] I exhibited at VketReal with everyone from the "VRC Sign Language Portal Connect"!

On the second day of #VketReal at #Vket2026Summer , held at Bellesalle Akihabara on July 26, 2026, we exhibited as the "VRC Sign Language Portal Connect"!!!

■ The "VRC Sign Language Portal Connect" Exhibition Booth

For this exhibition, just like last time, we introduced VR sign language to everyone who visited the venue! Among other things, we taught simple sign language expressions like "Hello" and had everyone try them out for themselves!

And—and!!! This time too, we connected VRChat and VketReal so that visitors could interact with the staff who always host sign language events in VRChat!!!

Seeing the interaction where people expressed sign language on the spot and the VRChat staff responded to them, and watching the visitors who stopped by the booth looking so happy and saying, "It got through!!!" made me very happy too✨

■ Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing people worked together!

Both last time and this time, "deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing" people all worked together from preparation to the actual operation on the day! On the day of the event, both on the real-world side and the VRChat side, deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing people cooperated to introduce our activities to the people who stopped by the booth!!!

And—the new "Mite-Mite (Look-Look) Strap" merchandise we made this time was something that the deaf and hard-of-hearing members especially wanted because it's convenient for everyday use! So, we all went through a lot of trial and error to complete this merchandise!!! Of course, it's designed so that hearing people can also use it easily✨

Participating in "VketReal." My personal significance

This is just my own opinion, but it's not about what you can or cannot do because you are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or hearing, everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and things they want to do or don't want to do. But within that, if there is something you want to try or get involved in, I believe you should go ahead and do it!

That is also the reason why I have been the organizer for the "VRC Sign Language Portal Connect" exhibition at VketReal since last time! Since we are all connected through sign language, I hope to increase, even if just a little, the opportunities for everyone to do something they want to do or can do. That's why, within the big framework of a VketReal exhibition, I hope there are opportunities for everyone to challenge themselves with something,
even if it's just a small thing! Leave the necessary preparations to me!!!

We made some wonderful "Mite-Mite Straps" this time and were able to actually place them at the booth, but even if it hadn't gone well, I believed that the fact that we all worked hard toward that goal had meaning✨✨✨

Of course, the fact that a sign language community exists in VRChat and that active interaction is taking place there daily is a major theme we want people to know about. But beyond that, wouldn't it be wonderful if the organizers could also use this VketReal opportunity to gain various experiences! I think so!!!

From VketReal preparations to the real & virtual staff on the day, deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing people all worked together, and we were able to introduce VR sign language and the VRC Sign Language Portal Connect to many people~✨✨✨

I'll keep doing my best so that we can all continue to spend lots of fun times together!✨

Bonus: I tried 3D scanning our exhibition booth!

This time, I tried 3D scanning the "VRC Sign Language Portal Connect" exhibition booth! Last time, the preparations didn't go well and I couldn't do it, so I felt like I really had to do it this time!

It's a great way to leave a visible record of what we did in VRChat, where we usually hang out, for everyone to see. It might also be useful for looking back on how things were or for explaining it to others later, right???

I plan to set it up as a special area in the "VRC Sign Language Chat Room" world that we usually use at a later date!!!
