Writing Youth 'Monoka Kingdom 2023' is Happening!

I was watching a documentary the other day.

It was about the high school competitive karuta championship, the world of 'Chihayafuru,' if you will. Once a year, they pour the results of their practice into a showdown at Omi Jingu, the sacred ground of the Hyakunin Isshu. Also, the sight of high school students staking everything on a single moment is dazzling.There are absolute champions, and there are tears of frustration from those who couldn't make it through. They laugh over one card and cry over another.

I felt dazed for a while after I finished watching it. That's youth, isn't it? It's wonderful to have something you can pour yourself into like that.

So, I've decided. I'm hosting a 'Writing Youth: Monoka Kingdom.'Wait, doesn't note already have the 'Creative Awards'? Can you really run a contest or a race like that by yourself? Yes, there are a lot of things to think about, but for now, I'm just going to launch it.

No, I've been thinking about this for a long time.

Writing is certainly noble. There is nothing better than facing yourself and thinking, 'I wrote something good.' But is that enough? Facing yourself while writing is important, but wouldn't it also be good to have a kind of writing that is intense and competitive?

I hope we can inspire each other to improve our 'writing' skills and, by extension, liven up the 'writing' culture.

Coincidentally, note is in a warring states period.I wouldn't call them armies, but there are a few warlords (skilled writers) that come to mind, right? Who is better, this person or that person? Can I not compete with them? There is no winning or losing in writing, but if there were a world of 'competitive writing'...

I've got it. I'll make that fantasy a reality.

I'll announce a theme, set a submission period and a voting period, and decide on a winner. You can write 'Monoka Kingdom 2023 Champion' in your profile, or be worshipped by everyone as 'King.' The concept is 'Stop overthinking it, let's just decide who's the best.'.

Yes, this is competitive writing.A place where writers gather, write that one piece they feel is 'the one,' and compete against each other.

The number of followers or likes doesn't matter. We'll just decide who wrote the article that 'hit home,' was 'great,' or was 'interesting' at that moment, and everyone will praise the winner. Behind those smiles, others will vow to get revenge, thinking, 'Just you wait.' I want to see that, I want to provide the stage, and I want to read your best work.

I'll release the details in December, but here's a sneak peek.
