No. 111 My State of Mind
It's starting to get gradually hotter, but I wonder if the rainy season is still not over yet?
As for me, I'm looking forward to the hot summer (laughs).
Well, it seems my daughter drew something called "My State of Mind" in art class when she was in the fifth grade. I saw it a little while ago and thought it was interesting, so I'd like to share it.

"The happy feeling of getting something I wanted"
is just so like my daughter (laughs)!
Especially the one in the middle.
I can't put it into words (laughs), but oh, I think that's probably what it feels like.

"When I'm confused by being told something strange"
makes me want to retort, "You're the one who's always saying much stranger things!" (laughs), but I realized, oh, I see, my daughter also has moments where she thinks she's been told something strange (laughs).

"When I'm doing something I'm not good at"
is, well, I can't analyze the psychological depiction, but since there is red in it, I wonder if she's trying to do something about it, although in reality, I don't see any sign of that at all (laughs).
But I was thinking that when she's in this state of confusion, if she tries to expand the red in her heart a little more, maybe she'll feel a bit more motivated.
I think I'll try telling her that next time (laughs).

"The sad feeling when a pet dies"
is about the medaka fish.
She didn't seem that sad, but since she went as far as to draw it here, her emotions were clearly stirred in her own way.
I felt that this expression of sadness really conveyed my daughter's feelings.
It is true that children with hearing impairments have high observational skills, but I felt that their expression of things seen with the eyes is interesting.
Many children like drawing, and the artistic side might be an area that is very easy to develop.
I am hopeless when it comes to visuals, so even if I were given paints, I have absolutely no confidence that I could draw and express my feelings to my own satisfaction.
If I were told to draw, I could do it, but if you asked me if that accurately expresses my feelings, I probably wouldn't be able to draw it according to my image at all, and in the first place, I don't think the image would come out clearly.
My daughter's images are something that, as a parent, I feel like, "Ah, I get it!" and I thought her visual expressive power must be high.
I don't know the difference between good and bad art, but I thought it was amazing that she was able to express it (^^ゞ
I think there are many children with hearing impairments who draw interesting and skillful pictures, but what do you think, parents of children with hearing impairments? ^^
