I attended the Creative Awards 2024 ceremony (3,793 characters)
My heart was so full of excitement and anticipation that I couldn't really eat the snacks provided at the venue, and by the time I got home, I was so hungry that I couldn't help but eat ramen in the middle of the night.

Well, as I mentioned the other day, I won the Best Reviewer Award at the Creative Awards 2024, and I attended the awards ceremony. In today's article, I will report on how the ceremony went.

When I received the email about the award, thanks to some back-and-forth with Mameshima-san (lol), we were both able to find out immediately that we had won the Best Reviewer Award.

After that, I found out that Meemie-san, Hasoyam-san, and Mirai Yoshiho-san had also won the Best Reviewer Award, so we all decided to attend the ceremony together. Knowing that people I usually interact with would be there, my excitement far outweighed any nervousness or anxiety.
And so, I welcomed the day with a cheerful heart. Since the ceremony started at 6:00 PM, we decided to grab some tea together beforehand. To my surprise,
Shiina Pizza-san, a member of SumaSpa, rushed over to join us! Even though we decided to meet up suddenly that day, Pizza-san brought gifts to celebrate those who won the Best Reviewer Award. Pizza-san joined us, and we all chatted happily until the ceremony began. Thank you so much, Pizza-san! I was so happy to see you!!
As the opening time approached, we left Pizza-san alone at Yotsuya Station (they looked so lonely lol), and we headed to the ceremony venue. When we arrived, a red carpet welcomed us.
Walking into the venue on the red carpet feeling like a Hollywood star, a glamorous world spread out before us. Since there was time before the ceremony started, we took pictures and exchanged business cards. For this day, I asked my best friend, Kigurumi, to make me some business cards. I just told them, "Make it look good!" and left the rest entirely to Kigurumi-sensei.

Isn't it amazing? I will definitely bring them to future events, so if you are a eccentric person who wants my business card, please don't hesitate to ask me for one!!
Most people had prepared their own business cards, but to my surprise, the organizers, note, had prepared business cards for the winners!
I heard that at last year's ceremony, the owner of a certain Duffy-yan had a hard time because they didn't have business cards. I assume note took that into account and prepared business cards for each winner this year.

I also exchanged business cards with Aomame Nono-san (Nono-san's business card was blue), as well as Konishi Kinoko-san, Sayaka Kanzaki-san, Aruron-san, and Noyagi-san, who also won the Best Reviewer Award.
I was also able to reunite with Seyama Nanten-san, who appeared on the SumaSpa 3rd Anniversary LIVE in May (I was able to exchange business cards with Seyama-san too!). Furthermore, I was able to greet the Kosshi generation representative, Rinko Akiya-san!

Looking around, it was full of people who are very active on note, and being a fanboy, I watched them with sparkling eyes.

Then, a little past the scheduled time of 6:00 PM, the Creative Awards ceremony began.
The names of the winners were called out, and they were awarded one by one. The smiles of everyone going up on stage were shining, and it was very wonderful and moving.
Among them, the one who left the deepest impression on me was, of course, Eri-san.
She won the Asahi Shimbun Publications Award for [Osaka Castle is Five Centimeters]. Eri-san looked nervous as she went up on stage, but she still gave a very impressive speech. Seeing her like that, my tear ducts loosened again. Eri-san, congratulations!!

The winners had been awarded, and the ceremony was coming to an end. The emcee said this:
"Will the Best Reviewer Award winners please come up to the stage when your name is called!"

According to Mameshima-san, who also won the Best Reviewer Award last year, the winners just stood up and bowed, so I never imagined I would have to go up on stage. It seems the owner of a certain Duffy-yan was the same as me, as they let out a "Whaaaat!!??" (lol)

I was nervous when my name was called by the emcee, but I went up on stage. When I got up there, I saw Eri-san smiling and waving, which eased my nerves a little. Our representative, Noyagi-san, gave a wonderful greeting and received warm applause from the venue.

I was of course very happy to win the Best Reviewer Award, but I felt a bit detached and floaty, but when I received the applause on stage, I strongly felt, "Oh, I really did win." It made me feel a bit more focused.
After the ceremony, a commemorative photo was taken, and then the reception began. note prepared a lot of wonderful food for the reception!
#I couldn't eat much because I was so overwhelmed
I was able to talk to many people at the reception as well. I was able to have a nice, relaxed conversation with Eri-san there too. I was happy to hear various stories, such as about when she won her award and about her editor. I felt incredibly embarrassed when the editor told me, "I read your spin-off."

What made me especially happy at the reception was that Seyama-san went out of his way to come over to me and introduce me to his editor, K-san.
Some of you may not know this, but my comment was actually featured on the obi strip of Seyama-san's masterpiece, [The House with the Cream-Yellow Sea and Spring Cabbage]!!

I had exchanged emails with the editor, K-san, a few times back then. They were truly polite and a wonderful person, and I was incredibly happy to meet them in person. Thank you so much, Seyama-san!!!
Also, I was able to exchange business cards with Kappy-san, the super-famous manga artist who created [Left Hand Layla], which made me incredibly happy as well.

The fun time flew by as I talked to many people and had photos taken. Unfortunately, I had to return home by Shinkansen today because I had work the next day.
I left the ceremony venue with a heavy heart. As I was leaving, the organizers gave me a commemorative gift.
It seems Mameshima-san forgot to get one. I plan to brag about it for the rest of my life (lol).
It was nearly 11 PM when I arrived at Nagoya Station. That's when I realized I hadn't eaten much at the venue, which leads back to the beginning.
I don't think I will ever forget the taste of the late-night ramen I ate that day, amidst a pleasant exhaustion and hunger.

It has become quite long, but that was what the ceremony was like.
Actually, there were many other things, but I will omit them as it would make this even longer.
The Creative Awards 2024 ceremony was a very wonderful and stimulating place for me.
Before attending, I thought I would never have the opportunity to participate in such a glamorous stage as an awards ceremony again. So, I attended this ceremony with a lighthearted feeling, determined to enjoy it to the fullest.
However, everyone at the venue was someone who was seriously facing their creative work. By directly experiencing the passion of those people, I strongly felt that I wanted to return to this stage next year.
I intend to continue my creative activities in my own way.
Thank you very much for all your support during the Creative Awards period. And I was truly, truly happy to receive so many congratulatory words when I won.
Thanks to all of you, I was able to win the Best Reviewer Award, which was my number one goal for this year's Creative Awards.
