ARABAKI ROCK FEST.25🌸 ~4/26 Participation Report~
First of all, I am so happy that my very first post can be a report on my absolute favorite festival held in my hometown!!
Happy 25th Anniversary to Arabaki, truly congratulations㊗️
I think the first time I went to Arabaki was in 2017??
So nostalgic...
By the way, the first festival I ever went to was
Rockin' Japan in 2015 (my first live concert ever).
Back then, I was a bright-eyed college student, and I remember thinking, "Going to a festival is
super fun, but man, is it brutal..." lol

I'll post a photo tomorrow!
So, here is the report below.
① 10-FEET
After the performance by the Kawasaki Junior High School Brass Band and the Mayor's greeting,
my personal first act was 10-FEET!!
I was shocked that they played RIVER as the first song...
Takuma-san said something like, "I'm turning 50 this year, I'm basically dying," but
I was surprised because he didn't look that age at all.
Sono Mukou e, Dai Zero Kan, Hitori Sekai, and more...
So many songs I was happy to hear!🙏
They also said so many great things during the MC,
and lines like "It's okay if it takes time, just be happy,
don't give up" really hit home.
Seeing the three of them rocking out so hard
was so cool!!
② SAKANAMON
I'm a fan, but this was my first time seeing them at Arabaki! So happy😊
And no wonder, apparently it's been 12 years...🎉
Fujimori-san said, "I'm glad I kept going for 12 years," and
that made me happy too😌
(Somehow today, including his outfit,
he was super handsome... lol)
During Music Plankton, the "Guitar Motoo!!"
cue leading into the intro was too cool, and there was an accident where Morino-san went wild and knocked over Fujimori-san's mic stand, but they kept playing... Fujimori-san was amazing, regaining his posture and singing dashingly with a hand mic. He's just too good at singing.
The collaboration song was good, and ending with the self-cover Hikari no Naka e was the best!!!
Please keep playing cool rock music that serves as a snack for everyone!
I'm looking forward to the new album and the solo concert too😺

③ ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION
It had been a while since I saw an Asian Kung-Fu Generation concert too.
My condolences to Gotch-sensei for his mishaps (taxi arriving right in the middle & the 👓️ splitting in two incident...).
The setlist was the best, but
I was especially happy to hear Solanin, Kaigan Dori, and Haruka Kanata, thank you so much🥲
Gotch's polite and straightforward singing really resonated, and he was super cool!!!
Kita-san's haori-style outfit was very
fitting and lovely.
(I realized recently that the person positioned on the stage left of the bands I like
might be the smile担当 (smile representative) of the band...!)
There was no MC like "This is the last song," so I was like,
(Wait... it's already over? That was fast...)
It was a wonderful stage👏🏻
Thank you for your hard work!!
④
ELLEGARDEN
I wanted to see them live while I'm still alive,so I decided to go for 2 days.
Hosomi-san kept saying "Let's go!!" and I got so hyped. It was a god-tier setlist and absolutely overwhelming.
Ubu-san's guitar solos on The Cheese Cake Factory and
Marry Me were so cool I couldn't even process it. Do Ellegarden actually exist...?🫠
I was so happy to hear my favorite song, Jitterbug...😭😭
If there's a next time,
please play Starfish!🌟
⑤
Macaroni Empitsu
I really struggled with this time slot, but in the end,I chose Macaroni Empitsu.
Personally, I'm going to a solo concert for toe next month, so I'll enjoy them fully there... (I caught a glimpse as I passed by and it looked amazing...)
I took a snack (churros) break and my feet were at their limit, so I only caught three songs: Sentakuki to Kimi to Radio and Young Adult, but it was the best!
I love Hattori-san's singing!!

(I planned to have something other than ramen...
but it was too cold, so that was impossible)
⑥ Hitsujibungaku
I've been curious about this band, so I'm happy to have finally seen them. The live performance was about 5 times more amazing than I imagined!!
Moeka-san's vocals and guitar are wonderful, of course, but the one worth mentioning is Kasai-san.
Her bass playing is so good, and I was incredibly surprised that she could produce such beautiful high-tone backing vocals while playing... I was happy to hear new songs and more!
The support drummer's drumming
reminded me of my favorite drummer (the one with the center-parted hair from Straightener), so I thought I liked it...🩷
⑦ MAN WITH A MISSION
Today's big headliner. Man With A Mission!! I only listened to the last song, Fly Again, and headed home... (reached my physical limit)
The laser beam show on the main stage at night
was an incredibly cool production!
This turned into a long and messy post, but to those who read until the end, thank you very much🙏
