Malta International Airport | La Valette Club Lounge Report
Hello, this is Konasann☺︎
In September 2025, my mother and I went on a 5-day, 4-night trip to the Republic of Malta. In this post, I will report on the airport lounge we used at Malta International Airport.
After leaving the hotel early in the morning and finishing check-in and security, we headed to the La Valette Club, which you can enter with a Priority Pass.
At the end of our trip, we were able to spend a more relaxing time than we had expected.
A morning before departure spent at the La Valette Club
Lounge location and how to get there
Once we arrived at Malta International Airport and successfully completed check-in, we headed straight for the lounge. Since we had left the hotel early in the morning, we decided to have breakfast there.
We used the La Valette Club, which accepts Priority Pass. It is located in the post-security area, to the left after passing through the duty-free shops. The signage is easy to follow, and the layout is such that you take an elevator up to the 3rd floor to reach the lounge entrance.

A calm space and a view overlooking the runway
The interior of the lounge has a sophisticated and calm atmosphere.
Beyond the floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the runway stretches out, allowing you to spend a relaxing time watching the planes come and go.
And what was most impressive was the outdoor terrace.
Spending time watching the planes while being blown by the pleasant Maltese breeze was a luxurious and elegant moment that didn't feel like it was just before departure.

More satisfying than a cafe! A sweet heaven from the morning
The food lineup, both in content and display, is like a stylish cafe. With a focus on Western food, there is a wide variety of breads, sausages, bacon, salami, egg dishes, and more, making it more than enough for breakfast.
What surprised me most was the abundance of sweets.
There were many types, including cupcakes, muffins, waffles, and croissants, and I couldn't help but be tempted from the morning.

A place that truly makes your pre-departure time a part of your "trip"
Time before early morning flights or connections tends to be hectic, but the La Valette Club was a lounge that allowed us to properly enjoy that pre-departure moment as a "part of the trip."
The quiet time spent watching the runway, the terrace where you can feel the outside breeze, and a breakfast that leaves you fully satisfied. Rather than any one thing being special, everything together was just right and comfortable.
It is a space that makes you think, "I didn't just stop by because I had time, I came early because I wanted to spend time here."
For those traveling to Malta, especially those taking early morning flights or those who want to spend their time before departure in a relaxed manner, this is a lounge I definitely want you to consider. I was able to head to my next destination while feeling the calm atmosphere typical of Malta until the very end.
Thank you for reading until the end!
