<Picture Diary> Resting is Part of the Job
Recent realizations and things I'm doing
Multitasking, emails, housework... days filled with work, work, and more work.
Before I knew it, I realized my brain and heart were feeling slowly worn out.
A while ago, I had this deep-seated belief that "resting equals being lazy."
Perhaps those who are serious and diligent might feel the same way.
But recently, my way of thinking has changed a little.
Relaxing and giving my brain and heart a rest.
Even if it seems like a detour at first glance, I feel it is essential time that truly helps me recover.
Sometimes, fun ideas and projects are born during those moments.
Changing my perspective a little to recharge my strength.
That kind of time is also necessary to keep going day after day.
Here are some relaxation times I have recently incorporated.
Pilates
Coffee at a cafe
Reading
Walking on green paths or in nature
Going to a botanical garden
Swimming
Getting into bed earlier
Not touching my smartphone

Echo Show is perfect for regulating the autonomic nervous system
Also, I have finally managed to make good use of the Amazon Echo Show I've used for years to help regulate my autonomic nervous system.
I link it with my room lights and utilize "Routines" (a feature that automatically executes pre-determined actions).
Because of this, my daily rhythm is less likely to get disrupted, and I feel like I can fall asleep more easily than before.
For example, here is how I use it: a routine that acts as an alarm clock by turning on the lights and playing music at the same time every morning.

Playing piano music as bedtime approaches
When I say "good night," it tells me tomorrow's weather
It's a simple mechanism, but it helps me keep a steady rhythm without even thinking about it, so I'm grateful to be able to continue it without strain.
I hope everyone has time to rest in their own way.
