In a mountain cabin far from human settlements, the demon looked into a hand mirror and wept. "For my beautiful wife." That is what her husband said when he gave her the mirror. Red skin. Sharp horns. A split mouth. Ominous fangs. The face reflected in the mirror was hideous, with no trace of her former self. Once, she had been human.
One year ago, people shed blood. It was a war between villages, a struggle to force the label of "being a demon" onto others. If a demon touches a human, the human becomes a demon, and if a demon touches a human, the demon returns to being human. There was only one demon. It was an ugly war of blood for blood, as they tried to turn outsiders into the demon.
However, the war ended suddenly one day. The most beautiful girl in the village disappeared while still a demon. To ensure that people would no longer hurt each other in the land where they were born and raised, the demon left the village without even telling her beloved husband where she was going.
A sound of knocking on the mountain cabin door. The demon drops the hand mirror. She wonders if someone has come to kill her before she changes her mind and touches a human. The demon steels herself and opens the door. The beautiful figure reflected in the fallen mirror. Her husband embraces her and says, "Finally, I've caught you."
