The early wandering on note was necessary! What I understand now after writing for 4 months
Good evening, this is Kokemomo.
I'll say this abruptly, but
lately, I've been enjoying writing on note✨
That's because,
actually, until a little while ago, I was just doing my best to write articles, and it didn't feel like pure 'fun✨'.
It's not that it wasn't fun...
but if someone asked me if it was fun, I couldn't answer immediately.
But lately, it's fun!
So today,
I'd like to look back on my progress so far✨
I was unconsciously trying too hard to 'make people understand'
I suddenly realized something...
When it wasn't fun to write, I might have been unconsciously over-assuming that I needed to 'make people understand.'
That there's no point in piling up articles that people don't understand.
That's what I thought.
From the moment I realized this,
writing on note became incredibly easy.
It became easy, and
it became fun.
It became light!
To describe how light it is...
it's as light as the texture of the
cheese snack I had with my beer yesterday.
Crunch.
'Oh, I might have
connected with my true feelings...'
I finally grasped that feeling.
Now, as
4 months are about to pass since my first article.
This is exactly the feeling I'm having right now.
The period of excessive self-exposure
Looking back at when I started writing, I was quite exposing myself.
Things about my past.
Things about my family.
Things about my relationships.
Emotional scars.
That wasn't a bad thing.
Or rather,
if anything, that was all I had at the time.
'I have nothing else to write about'
I was convinced of that, and
honestly, I couldn't think of
a single exciting theme.
So, I had no choice but to expose myself.
I call this the
period of excessive self-exposureBut you know.
I've been calling it that.
Because I had that period, I was able to see my own habits.
・What themes get me excited
・What topics make my pen stop
・When I am pushing myself too hard
By exposing everything,
doing it all,
I finally understood.
True intentions are visible in hindsight
What I am excited about right now is the
“Aomori Stroll Project”
which has just begun to sprout.
However,
the energy I feel when writing is clearly different.
Just thinking about it is fun.
“Maybe I can do that too”
“I want to go there too”
My ideas run wild on their own.
This feeling.
I think this is my true intention right now.
Having moved past the phase of constant oversharing, I have finally started to be able to
write about my “desires”
instead of my “wounds.”
You don't find your core message right away
Thinking about it now,
I wonder if there is almost anyone
who reaches their core message
immediately after starting note?
(Though if you have a business plan, your core is likely already decided)
First, you blast out content.
First, you use trial and error.
First, you wander.
In that process,
the sense of
“Oh, this isn't it”
“I'm pushing myself a bit too hard here”
“This feels light”
gets refined.
So,
if there is anyone right now
who is feeling lost because they don't know their core message,
it's okay.
That is normal. The phase of blasting out content is a necessary process.
But doing it alone is tough
However.
I honestly think doing this alone is quite difficult.
Actually, in the past,
I have experience posting on Stand.fm, Instagram, and three previous note accounts... and I failed every time because I couldn't settle on a core message.
That is precisely why
I thought I needed a community to walk alongside me.
That is where I found “Otsu Note Club”
They give me questions,
I pause,
I look back,
and sometimes they gently support me.
Not only the organizer, Otsu-san,
but the presence of my peers is also significant.
If it weren't for that environment,
I might still
be in the loop of oversharing.
That is why I can say this.
Using coaching or a community
is not a sign of weakness.
Rather, it is an accelerator.
Last December,
I signed up as soon as recruitment started.
……I have good sense, don't I?
I want to praise myself a little now.
What lies beyond the phase of blasting out content
To those who are currently lost in their posting.
The version of you that overshares,
the version of you that can't see your core,
the version of you that is wandering,
they are all just milestones.
Beyond the phase of blasting out content,
you will encounter a lightness that makes you think,
“Oh, this is it.”
Like a crisp texture.
That feeling will definitely come.
So you don't need to rush.
And,
you don't have to carry it all alone.
I have finally shifted
from “writing to be understood”
to “writing because it's exciting.”
I intend to savor this lightness
for a while.
Thank you for reading today as well.
May you also
enjoy posting with vitality🍀
P.S.
I also joined the membership of Otsu-san, the owner of Otsu Note Club, and the learning was deep, making my posting even lighter✨
I'll leave it here, so please take a look if you'd like🍀
