What I felt after participating in the co-labo partner seminar as someone who runs a koji cooking class in Yamagata City
As someone who runs a koji cooking class in Yamagata City,
what I felt after participating in the co-labo partner seminar
I am Koujimai, and I run a koji cooking class in Yamagata City, Gifu Prefecture called "Koji mai kitchen."
The other day,
I participated in the Yamagata City co-labo partner seminar.
This seminar
was not just an SNS study session, but
a place where business owners and companies gather who have thoughts like
“I want to make Yamagata City more interesting”
or “I want to set something in motion in the region.”
I think this every time I participate, but
the atmosphere is incredibly positive and intense.
Just by listening to the stories,
it was a time that made me excited, thinking
“There is still so much that can be done in this town.”
⸻
Local x SNS is not about “broadcasting,” but “building relationships”The theme this time was
“A way of thinking to be understood and chosen through local x SNS.”
When it comes to SNS,
there is a strong tendency to have the image of
・Going viral
・Increasing numbers,
but what I felt strongly while actually listening to the talk was
“Who are you communicating with, for what purpose, and what kind of message are you sending?”is the most important thing.
This was
content that really resonated with me, as someone who runs a cooking class in Yamagata City.
Cooking classes are the same;
rather than the number of recipes or how flashy they are,
it is about whether people think
“I want to learn from this person”
or “I want to go to this space.”
I felt once again that the roots of SNS and regional activities are the same.
⸻
A place where you can have “a way of connecting that isn't just about cooking or koji”
At the networking event, I exchanged business cards and talked with people from different industries and positions.Food and beverage, education, welfare, manufacturing, regional activities...
Even though our fields are different,
we have the common point of “wanting to liven up Yamagata City.”
I usually
propose home cooking using koji and ways to make daily meals easier, but
by participating in such places,
it has become an opportunity to think about my role
not just in “food,” but within the connections with the region and people.
What I can do through cooking classes,
what can expand precisely because I am with the region.
I have a feeling that I will be able to talk about such things concretely from now on,
and honestly, I am nothing but excited.
⸻
The reason I continue to run a cooking class in Yamagata City
I
feel great meaning in continuing my koji cooking class in Yamagata City.
It might not be a convenient place.
But, it is a town where the distance between people is close, and people with passion can properly gather.Through this seminar and networking,
it was also a time when I could feel a little proud of “myself running a cooking class in this place.”
⸻
From now on, quietly, but surely
Including those I couldn't exchange business cards with,
thank you very much to everyone I was with this time.
As a cooking class,
as an individual business owner,
and as one person active in Yamagata City.
Even if I don't do anything flashy,
I will learn properly, engage properly, and continue properly. While valuing that attitude, I would like to continue
the koji cooking class “Koji mai kitchen” from here on out.
In the future,
if there are opportunities to work together on cooking, food education, regional, or corporate initiatives, I would be happy.
