A Story About Mirrors.
Mii-san, with whom I am always on good terms, is running a project called "Everyone's Dictionary Making."
The rules are roughly as follows, but it is about expressing your own thoughts and feelings about various words in your own way.
It is not something formal like a standard dictionary; I want you to add the meanings as you see them.
It is perfectly fine to use your own unique rules. It can be funny or anything else, but please refrain from slandering others🙏😭 I would be happy if you could explain them with sensible words.
I also think it is a wonderful project, and although I have been saying I would do it since last month, I haven't actually done it yet.
That said, I am at a loss as to how to write it. When it comes to my own way of using or defining words starting with the 'ka' row, I come to a standstill.

To write. How about this? But I have been writing so much until now that it doesn't feel very interesting.
Hmm, I'm hesitant. I'm sure concepts or abstract words would be better than complex ones, but none come to mind.
Ah, a mirror. This might be good.
If you often read my creative work, you might have a vague idea, but I often use the motif of a "mirror." A mirror also appeared in the "Short Story: Moving." I wrote the day before yesterday. Oh, and it even appeared in the "Semi-Final Story" I wrote yesterday. You might ask just how much I love mirrors, but thinking about it, it might be a word I use quite frequently.
A mirror is just a tool that reflects what is in front of it, but for me, the emphasis is on "how it reflects" and "how it projects."
Should I call it a discrepancy? It is when something is clearly strange when the subject looks into it, yet they cannot recognize it. Also, sometimes what is reflected by chance is something completely unintended. Or perhaps it is also a matter of confirmation.
It is essentially impossible for a human to see their own face. That is why we look into a mirror, but as a premise, the image of yourself reflected in a mirror is a virtual image with left and right reversed.
Even if you were to borrow someone else's perspective, it would only be yourself through that person's eyes.
Also, the self reflected in the mirror is the self you want to think of as yourself. It is a famous story, but it seems human eyes have a corrective ability.
In other words, the self reflected in the mirror is also just something distorted by your own vision. Naturally, when you look at someone else, you are applying the same kind of correction, so the self that someone else sees might also not be the real you (leaving aside the discussion of virtual images).
By the way, there is a function on things like Zoom to flip your video horizontally, but to be honest, I find it very unsettling when I use that.
I get a feeling that I am somehow not myself. And when I stare at it, for some reason, my shoulders start to hurt, and gradually my neck movements become awkward.
A mirror only reflects a fake version of yourself. Even though there is no truth anywhere, it is the only way I have to believe in it. And, while being deceived by that fake self, I form my own self-image.
What on earth is the real me? Today, too, I ask the mirror.
