Starbucks Stamp Guy: A Quiet Break Journey - Fukuoka Edition in Hakata no Mori
A certain Monday holiday in August 2025, past 4:00 PM
Location: Starbucks Hakata no Mori store
When I return to Fukuoka from my overseas assignment, this Hakata no Mori store is the Starbucks sanctuary I visit in search of quiet and focus. It is an ideal space for spending a relaxing time reading, studying for certification exams, or watching YouTube.
The parking situation is worth noting. Many people visit by car on weekends, and there is a system where a free parking ticket for up to one hour is distributed, after which it becomes a paid service. The luxury of arriving at a quiet hideaway after a drive of about an hour from home is exceptional.
Inside the store, there are about 30 tables (approximately 50 seats). In addition, there are about 10 tables outdoors, with enough room for about 20 people. Furthermore, since about 5 seats with power outlets are provided, it is safe for PC work or long hours of study.
On this holiday, due to the influence of a linear precipitation zone, I was unexpectedly able to secure a seat easily. Amidst the quiet of a rainy day, I enjoyed precious time being able to concentrate on my exam studies. There are few people with small children, making it the best environment wrapped in silence.
The restriction of being limited to one hour is unfortunate, but the gratitude of having a place where I can obtain a 'moderately quiet time different from home' more than makes up for it. While soaking in the gentle flow of time, it is the best place as a 'place of concentration' along with a cup of coffee that makes me want to visit again.
