What do Adobe Community Experts do?

I'm Kobayas (@kobayas_s), a web designer.
I have recently been certified by Adobe as an Adobe Community Expert and will be active in this role.

What is an Adobe Community Expert?

It is a group of people who are knowledgeable about Adobe software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, who share information about using Adobe products on social media and at events, and who provide advice on questions received in official forums.
This group is formed all over the world, and I am mainly enrolled in the Japanese group.
More detailed information is written in the article below, so please read it if you are interested.

What kind of activities do you do?

There are both online and offline activities. Online, I post on various social media platforms and support people around me who are having trouble.

Answering questions on the official website

I also provide answers on the official Adobe forum, Adobe Community.
This is like a Q&A board where you can easily ask questions about things you don't understand or are struggling with regarding tools provided by Adobe.

Bug reports are also posted here, so if you experience any issues after updating the tools you use, checking this page might help you find reports or solutions.

Event planning and support

Offline, I also plan workshops and sessions using Adobe products.
A recent event was GEEK CREATORS 2024 TOKYO (Geekuri), which was held at the Toyo Institute of Art and Design.

At Adobe's big event, Adobe MAX, Community Experts also take the stage and help make the event more exciting.

Networking with members and employees at Adobe

Meetings to deepen friendships among members are also held at key milestones.

I participated in a meetup held in January 2025.
Adobe Community Experts gathered at the Adobe office, and it was a very meaningful time where we could look back on the activities we had done over the six months of 2024 and talk to members and Adobe employees in person.

I also received novelties such as stickers with the Adobe product logo.

All the Community Experts are friendly, and I was relieved that it was an easy space to join, even for someone like me who had only been there for a few months, without feeling like an outsider.
I was able to hear valuable stories that are hard to hear online, such as about the techniques I had posted on social media and how other web designers like me approach Adobe products, and I also got many hints that will become ideas for future posts.

How I became a member

It is a very fun memory that I spoke at a webinar called "Morning Photoshop" held in August this year and talked about using Photoshop's AI generation features.
And while I was hoping to interact more with colleagues who use Adobe products, I was introduced by someone who is active as an Adobe Community Expert, which led me to where I am now.

What kind of activities will I do from now on?

I have been posting tips using Adobe tools on social media and note even before becoming an Adobe Community Expert, so nothing will change significantly, but since I have recently become addicted to creating design production tutorials, I plan to increase the number of posts using videos.
I often use Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Adobe Express for work and hobbies, so I think there will be many posts on how to use these.
I have also summarized the tutorials I have posted in the past in the article below, so please take a look.

I would also like to help out with official Adobe events, so I plan to increase my offline activities from here on out.
If we have the chance to meet, I would be very happy if you would say hello!
