Running is like life
Good morning 😃
I think this is a pretty cool title.
Due to bad weather over the three-day weekend, I couldn't really run properly, so I went for a run for the first time in a while today, on the final day of the weekend.
I started jogging when I was around 30 years old.
It all started when a junior colleague invited me to join an ekiden relay race.
However, I had always wanted to jog someday, influenced by reading Haruki Murakami's essays in my late teens.
After that, I couldn't quite take the first step, but after receiving a few nudges, I finally started running.
I wondered if I would get faster if I kept running, but contrary to that expectation, I am still a slow runner, averaging around 8 minutes per kilometer.
When it gets tough, I don't push myself and walk sometimes.
Also, I skip it sometimes due to the heat or cold, but I've somehow managed to keep it up.
When I run, it feels like all the fog in my mind is blown away, and for me, it is the best way to refresh myself,
I learn about the changing of the seasons by running.
In spring, cherry blossom buds swell, bloom in full, and then scatter.
It is thanks to my continued running that I noticed how many flowers bloom in the summer,
and I am the one who visits my husband's family grave more than anyone else, weeding it while I'm out jogging😤
Sometimes I slack off, stop, start running again, get a little carried away and pick up speed, get tired, and take a nap in the afternoon.
It feels just like life.
That is what I think.
Running, walking, sometimes slacking off, walking, and running.
Even so, I keep walking. I keep running.
The seasons are slowly beginning to change.
Thank you very much for reading this far✨✨✨
