The full charm of Kuju
In this photo exhibition, we will display 42 works centered on the magnificent nature of Aso-Kuju National Park.
The main focus is the Tadewara Wetland, located at an altitude of 1000m at the foot of Mt. Mimata.
Designated as a Ramsar Convention wetland, this is the largest intermediate wetland in Japan,
showing different expressions throughout the four seasons.
From spring controlled burning to summer greenery, autumn foliage, and winter snowscapes.
Mountains dyed in morning glow, fantastic scenes at dusk, and the silence of the night.
I have captured the beauty of nature that changes moment by moment throughout the day.
Works filled with 30 years of memories
It has been 30 years since I started photography. During that time, I have visited Kuju countless times
and kept pressing the shutter.
The exhibited works include a diverse range of landscapes, such as the powerful 'Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi Bridge,' the magical 'Moment the Controlled Burning Fire Starts,' and the colorful 'Autumn Colors' series.
From railway scenes like the 'Yufuin no Mori' and the 'Spring Breeze Limited Express Kanpachi-Ichiroku,' to historical buildings like the 'Bungo-Mori Roundhouse,' and water landscapes like the 'Shindo Falls' and 'Amagase Valley,' I have expressed the charms of the Kuju area from multiple angles.
