Riding through the Ono Plain during a break in the Ezo rainy season

I hadn't intended to ride my road bike today.
I got caught in the rain yesterday, and this morning also had that typical Ezo rainy seasongloomy sky...
Even so, looking at the rain radar, it didn't seem like it would rain, so I left the house thinking,"I'll give it a try, even if it doesn't work out."
As soon as I started riding, I noticed something different than usual.
There's no wind! It's completely calm!!
Since my morning rides for the past few weeks have been nothing but a battle against the wind, this silence is pleasant.

However, on the other hand, my heart rate was high from the beginning.
The humidity is high, so it's probably hard for my body to release heat.
Even so, my legs felt light, so I decided to keep riding while maintaining a heart rate of around 150.
When I looked at my watch on the way, my average speed was 29.5 km/h! (Wait, why is it so fast?)
From there, I got a little greedy.

"It would be great if I could get back at 29 km/h,"I thought as I kept pedaling steadily.
The result was an average of 29.74 km/h.
Season best!

I didn't quite reach 30 km/h, but strangely, I don't feel any regret.
More than that, I'm happier that a day I hadn't even planned to run in the morning turned into an unexpected day of calm winds for the first time in three weeks and a personal best.
There are things about road biking you don't know until you ride.
That's why it's interesting.
But from tomorrow, it looks like it will be rainy in the early mornings for a while (what a shame).
