And Then There Were None [The Too Emotional Mystery Nebuta]

In a fading town, when the local high school student council was asked to discuss regional revitalization, they suggested, "Why don't we hold an 'Emotional Nebuta Festival'?" The town council agreed it was a great idea, and it was decided in a rush to hold an "Emotional Nebuta" competition at the sports festival. They would parade half-sized mock Nebuta around the school grounds, and the ranking would be decided by the 10 student council members' "emotional votes" (😍). On the day of the event, the mayor and town council members were all in attendance.
Class 1-A: Sexy Tanaka-san doing belly dancing (😍5)
Class 1-B: Hatsune Miku in a pink piglet costume (😍8)
Class 2-A: Shizuko Kasagi singing and dancing to Boogie Woogie (😍4)
Class 2-B: Ryoko Hirosue waving a Furinkazan flag and Yuki Saito ringing wind chimes (😍7)
Class 3-A: Paripi Koumei and Chanmina having a rap battle (😍6)
Class 3-B: Kinpachi-sensei preaching (😍0)
The next day, the council met and decided that the Nebuta for the festival would be "Kinpachi-sensei."
The students asked for the reason. The mayor said,
"The others were too emotional."
To the students, that answer was too mysterious.
Ten years later, the young people had disappeared from the town.
