What to do on the Robinhood Chain testnet? A practical memo for airdrop hunting
It was quite a while ago, but I didn't get the results I expected with MONAD, so I thought about whether testnet activities are actually meaningful. I'm looking forward and taking on new challenges.
Introduction
Speaking of Robinhood, it is a major brokerage app in the US that allows commission-free trading of stocks and ETFs. The company is developing its own Ethereum L2 chain, "Robinhood Chain", and its public testnet was officially launched on February 10, 2026.
You might wonder, "Why would a brokerage build an L2?" However, this is not just an experiment; it is a serious project to create financial infrastructure that allows for 24/7 trading of stocks, ETFs, and RWAs (Real World Assets) on the blockchain while integrating with DeFi.
1. What is Robinhood Chain?
Network Type: Ethereum Layer 2 (adopts Arbitrum's Nitro stack)
EVM Compatibility: Existing wallets like MetaMask can be used as-is
Block Time: Approx. 100ms (high speed)
Purpose: 24/7 on-chain trading of stock tokens, ETFs, and RWAs, and the fusion of DeFi
Operator: Robinhood Digital Assets, LLC (RHDA)
As infrastructure partners, Alchemy, Chainlink, LayerZero, and TRM are already proceeding with integration, and they have contributed $1 million to the Arbitrum Open House program. It is clear that they are serious about building a developer ecosystem.
Within just one week of the testnet launch, it processed 4 million transactions, and there are reports that the number of participating wallets is in the range of about 1 million.
2. Expectations for an Airdrop
The official team has not mentioned anything about tokens or airdrops. While this is purely speculative, there are still several reasons to be hopeful about an airdrop.
1. There are precedents for L2s Major L2s like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base have all conducted retroactive rewards (airdrops) for testnet participants. There is a strong possibility that Robinhood will follow this L2 playbook.
2. There is little reason to build this much without a token With $1 million in developer support, global Buildathons, and integration with major infrastructure, it is highly likely that some form of tokenomics will be needed to recoup this investment and form an ecosystem.
3. The scale of Robinhood itself This is a chain built by a publicly traded company with a market capitalization of several billion dollars. If a token is released, the scale could be on a completely different level than other L2s.
4. Compatibility with the user base The Robinhood app has tens of millions of users. It is possible that a token could function as a bridge to existing users after the transition to mainnet.
Although there is no official announcement, I think it is worth trying out while it can be done at a low cost.
3. First, wallet setup and Faucet
Adding the network
Add the following settings to your EVM wallet, such as MetaMask.
- Network Name: Robinhood Chain Testnet
- RPC URL: https://rpc.testnet.chain.robinhood.com
- Chain ID: 46630
- Currency Symbol: ETH
- Block Explorer: https://explorer.testnet.chain.robinhood.com
You can also add it with one click from the official documentation (https://docs.robinhood.com/chain/add-network-to-wallet/).
How to get test ETH
Method A: Official Faucet (Recommended)
https://faucet.testnet.chain.robinhood.com Just access the site and connect your wallet. In addition to testETH, you will receive 5 each of **stock tokens (for testing)** such as Tesla, Amazon, Palantir, Netflix, and AMD.
*Google Sign-in is required

Method B: Via Sepolia
Get Sepolia ETH from a Sepolia faucet (Alchemy, QuickNode, etc.)
Bridge to Robinhood Chain Testnet using the Arbitrum Bridge
Method A is overwhelmingly easier, so please start with that.
④ Main activities to perform
It is important to perform the following activities continuously over multiple days. Do not just do everything in one day and finish; be conscious of earning active days and weeks.
4-1. Bridge (Sepolia → Robinhood Chain)
Official Bridge: portal.arbitrum.io/bridge?destinationChain=robinhood-chain-testnet
By bridging Sepolia ETH to the Robinhood Chain, a record as a "bridge user" will be created. Even a small amount is fine.

4-2. Send GM on OnchainGM
Site: https://onchaingm.com
This is a simple dApp that sends "GM (Good Morning)" on-chain.
Access the site and connect your wallet
Switch the network to Robinhood Chain Testnet
Click "Send GM" and approve the transaction
GM card and badge obtained
Sending a GM daily or periodically serves as proof of ongoing activity.

4-3. Deploying a smart contract
Deploying a contract is an activity that serves as strong evidence of having used the chain as a developer.
OnchainGM has a built-in contract deployment feature, so you can perform the operation from within the site.

4-4. Acquiring a .hood domain
Site: https://infinityname.xyz
You can acquire a domain in the "yourname.hood" format that can be used on the Robinhood Chain. It is like the Robinhood version of ENS (Ethereum Name Service).
Since it is acquired on the testnet, it is currently free (or costs a small amount of testETH)
Functions as an ID that can be used instead of a wallet address
The record of being a domain holder is etched on-chain

4-5. Minting an NFT
Site: https://nfts2me.com
NFTs2Me is a no-code tool that allows you to create collections and mint NFTs, and it supports the Robinhood Chain Testnet. Create your own collection and mint (a stronger record)
It is easy if you create an image beforehand using AI or similar tools!
https://nfts2me.com and connect your wallet
Switch the network to Robinhood Chain Testnet
Create a simple collection and mint an NFT

⑤ Sites to try if you have time
◇Synthra
Site: https://synthra.xyz
It functions as the main DEX on the Robinhood Chain. At the time of writing, it could be used without linking Discord/X.
The following activities are possible:
Swap: Exchange between test tokens (ETH ↔ stock tokens, etc.)
LP Provision: Participate in liquidity pools
Faucet: Obtain Synthra's proprietary test tokens
By periodically performing swaps and adding/removing LP, you build up a record of activity as a DeFi user.

◇watchoor.xyz
Site: https://watchoor.xyz
This is a guided deployment tool that supports multiple chains, including the Robinhood Chain Testnet. You can efficiently complete activities like contract deployment just by following the task list on the site.
Conclusion
The mainnet timeline has not been announced yet, but it has been hinted at for "within 2026." If you're going to act, it's better to do it sooner—that much is certain. With the market being unstable, let's do our best while believing in the possibility of an airdrop.
