Delusional Daily Report, May 21st: 'Under the Cherry Trees'

During lunch break, the deputy manager was talking to Nao-san about graves. It seems the deputy manager's parents are considering 'grave closing' for their family plot in the countryside.
'My parents and I don't really go back there much anymore. I'm thinking maybe we should just switch to perpetual memorial services. Personally, I don't really care what happens to my own grave.'
'I know what you mean. I'm the same. I heard that the competition for metropolitan cemeteries is like 30 times the capacity. I'd be fine with a locker,' said Nao-san.
'Oh, really? I don't think I'd like a locker. How about a tree burial?' 'But those are also highly competitive.' 'That's true. Besides, wouldn't you end up mistaking it for someone else's grave?' 'Isn't that a classic mix-up? It's one of those funny things that happens when visiting graves!'
Just then, Section Chief Sakaguchi walked by and said,
'Oh, yes. That's a classic. You really do mix them up!'
'Ango-san, you'd probably mix them up. You're so scatterbrained, after all,' the deputy manager said.
'No, not me, other people. You know how it says, "Under the cherry trees, there are corpses buried"? Everyone thinks that's me. But that's actually Motojiro Kajii.'
'Mine is "In the Forest, Under Cherries in Full Bloom." Well, it is confusing, I suppose.'
'Huh? Right. So, what exactly are you trying to say?' the deputy manager asked, not really getting the point.
'I'm saying, I don't know if it's a trend or what, but even if people tell me they want their grave under a cherry tree, I have nothing to do with it. I don't know how much Kajii is getting from teaming up with cemeteries, but I don't see a single cent of it.'
'But people still come and ask me. Like, "Oh, you're the 'Under the cherry trees, there are corpses' person, right?" And I'm like, "No, I'm not!" It's so frustrating. That's the funny story, right?'
Not understanding at all, everyone just covered it up with a desperate, thin smile.
